My daughter is also a striker. Women's soccer is really popular in the U.S., even here in Austin, TX, where I live. Here, women's sports are played with the same degree of seriousness as men's. Girls train just as hard, and play just as hard. Yes, they don't have the same physical skills as men, but my daughter is a force on the field and I am really proud of her. The head of the league is from Manchester. Great to hear that you play, as well. Cheers!

I was just defending my football from people claiming it was played by wimps. I agree with you. All sports are great. We should celebrate the differences, not use them to divide ourselves further. Fuck off it is wimpy. Rugby players also run into 6'7 300lb+ men after taking a kick to the head, but they do it without wearing body armour. Plus british football actually takes some skill to play it. I played American "football" for the first time a few weeks and scored two touchdowns, I hated the sport and vowed never to play it again. Incidentally, Britsh football, i.e. real football. Is dangerous, 1000's of players get thier legs broken every day in Britain alone.
