Short and sweet but still one of your best videos. It's good to see some info on what your radio is and what you think of all the graffiti. Most of the tagging I see on trains looks terrible but we have some stuff here in town on a few buildings that is exceptionally well done. I have no idea why some buildings get generic tagging and others get carefully applied art. Perhaps they had some sort of intervention with the taggers. Or perhaps it's just another of life's many mysteries.
yeah the TPIX's are a favorite of many graffiti artist. What you refer to as 'Railroad Art' as more commonly know as Monikers. A majority of is done by workers and a few a hobos. It is a separate culture from graffiti. But they have found ways to co-exist on the rails.
That is a Motorola CDM1550 two-way radio. I have it programmed for RECEIVE-ONLY on all 97 railroad channels. You can get them for $450 - $600 used on ebay.
@PossessedDonutz I also have a scanner which is a Uniden BC95XLT w/ a Diamond RH77CA antenna and my CB is a Galaxy DX949 w/ a Wilson Little Wil antenna which hopefully in a few weeks will be replaced with a Wilson 1000.
Good to see that you explained the 2 different types of graffiti and explained hobo monikers as well as real graffiti as opposed to the crappy scrawls and scribbles by little punks that just find a can and decide to deface something. Excellent video pro quality.
@distantsignal To see RCL I go west just past Orient road and pull in to the self storage place on the right.Behind there you can see switching, if you lucky its RCL.
Sweet, thanks Danny, im looking to replace my old one and i've seen a few people with these and they said the work great. Love all the videos keep em'coming. I own the Trains of the Bone Valley DVD remastered and its my favorite csx movie I own, i also have the one from 95' on VHS lol.. You should deff make another. Thanks for all the cool videos!!

Yeah, even though graffiti is illegal, you have to admit, some of those graffiti artists really have skill.

The program is ATCS. Available to anyone on ATCSmon/yahoogroups. It takes some installation and setup, but it's a very cool tool.
