  • Yeah i need a ATCS for the Pan Am Trains up here, How can i get one?

  • Short and sweet but still one of your best videos. It's good to see some info on what your radio is and what you think of all the graffiti. Most of the tagging I see on trains looks terrible but we have some stuff here in town on a few buildings that is exceptionally well done. I have no idea why some buildings get generic tagging and others get carefully applied art. Perhaps they had some sort of intervention with the taggers. Or perhaps it's just another of life's many mysteries.

  • where did u get the radio and how much does it cost ? thanks and I also like the video

  • yeah the TPIX's are a favorite of many graffiti artist. What you refer to as 'Railroad Art' as more commonly know as Monikers. A majority of is done by workers and a few a hobos. It is a separate culture from graffiti. But they have found ways to co-exist on the rails.

  • That';s interesting. I've heard my friend call them Monikers before, but didn't know what he was referring to. Good info, Thanks!

  • Thats Bad.

  • how did you get that radar on the compuuter???

  • Where did you get that scanner, what kind is it?

  • That is a Motorola CDM1550 two-way radio. I have it programmed for RECEIVE-ONLY on all 97 railroad channels. You can get them for $450 - $600 used on ebay.

  • i have a scanner and a cb radio O:

  • @PossessedDonutz I also have a scanner which is a Uniden BC95XLT w/ a Diamond RH77CA antenna and my CB is a Galaxy DX949 w/ a Wilson Little Wil antenna which hopefully in a few weeks will be replaced with a Wilson 1000.

  • Wow very nice video! Great narration too.

  • Good to see that you explained the 2 different types of graffiti and explained hobo monikers as well as real graffiti as opposed to the crappy scrawls and scribbles by little punks that just find a can and decide to deface something. Excellent video pro quality.

  • Yeah, even though graffiti is illegal, you have to admit, some of those graffiti artists really have skill.

  • nice editing 5 stars.

  • When I go to Brandeton I catch the juice train on the Manatee river drawbridge since it runs parllell of US-301.

  • another perfect production. the style you have is so unique. no one could recreate it

  • thanks

  • Do you know what the first engine was on the wet rock train?

  • Yes, it was an SD70, the 4699 "Spirit Of Miami"

  • @distantsignal To see RCL I go west just past Orient road and pull in to the self storage place on the right.Behind there you can see switching, if you lucky its RCL.

  • Danny, What kind is your new scanner ?!? I know its a MOTO but what model?!?!

  • It's a Motorola CDM1550, 128channel two-way.

Got it and the remote mount for it and some other accesories on ebay for around $500 all said and done.

  • Sweet, thanks Danny, im looking to replace my old one and i've seen a few people with these and they said the work great. Love all the videos keep em'coming. • Great Video on the juice train out of Bradenton. What program is that on the computer system? Gotta love that voice over too.

  • The program is ATCS. Available to anyone on ATCSmon/yahoogroups. It takes some installation and setup, but it's a very cool tool.

  • That was great!!!

  • What happen if those remote engine crash in railway crossing ?

  • Very nice as always. keep up the good work

  • Ive seen that program in trains magazine I think. surprised it is available to the public. nice mobile unit.

  • What computer program is that? is that on your own PC?

  • A little fun fact the 8783 was a former Conrail SD60I.

  • Funny, i thought the new White tropicana reefers were supposed to have graffiti resistant paint, guess not..

In any case, great video Danny, looking forward to more.
