  • I want one with a 12 inch let span :)

  • what do i do if its knocked up? :S

Do i just sell the slings to a pet store where they sell them?

  • @killerslayer543

list them on arachnoboards forum. You'll have an easier time there

  • plzzzz reply how often should i feed my t Blondi sub adult i just got it a few weeks ago and it is fairly skiny i use crickets and dubia thanks so much sorry for all the questions

  • @1327177

once a week or once every 2 week if you SEE from the many feeding videos I put up

  • UR THE MOST THE COOLEST DUD ON EARTH AND UR VIDEOS R THE BEST

  • a very good film, professionally done , top bloke !!!

  • Do you use isopods in your cages to clean up the mold and stuff?

  • @snipesnrifles

I don't use isopods. They are found to find some for sale in Canada.

  • question, i have a pink toe tarantula and i cant get the tank very humid, so i tried the towel thing but as i was putting the towel on i figured out i cant really heat her tank since i have a light hanging over the terrarium. so is there anyway i can keep it more humid? thanks Jon, love the videos.

  • @MrERTSTAR

soak the substrate to allow the water to get at the bottom layers

  • @MrERTSTAR do you have any type of moss in the terrarium

  • @bw1819 no but its ok i figured out how to keep it humid

  • is this one in pre molt? its very black compared to other GB's.

  • @fadalisdestroyer666

she was at the time. Now she's hopefully going to be a mother.

  • I just got a molt form mine today. The molt measures 7 inches so I imagine that she is about 7.5-8 inches. I finally was able to sex her and now know that she is female.

  • @Jon3800 That makes perfect since to me bro; I haven't thought about how this could harden the exoskeleton which would cause them to be trapped during molt. Thank you for your time and words of wisdom! Be blessed bro

  • Great videos bro I have enjoyed them all for awhile now. However I must ask why are you and some others on the Internet so adamant to say don't feed mice to T's? Rodents, snakes, etc are on the menu for many if not most Terrestrial Tarantulas in the wild. Due to the extremely high population of rodents it would stand to reason that it is a main choice for Terrestrial T's like the T.blondi. Other than the Internet I can't find any Scientific data that proves it hurts T's to feed mice. Yet there

  • @TarantulamanNC

I made a few videos explaining why I never feed mice. But feeding mice is a lose-lose situation for the T. True in the wild they do feed on mice, but we have no idea of the survival rate. In captivity its very dangerous.

    1) By putting a mouse in the tank, you risk potentially killing the T. Mice CAN fight back. A simple kick, bite or scratch on the T is enough to cause a fatal injuries. Especially if its near the mouth area or the abdomen

  • @TarantulamanNC

    2) This is the most important.why mice should not be offered. Yes there's a lot of people that feed mice on this vids, but those people are ignorant and don't realize they are killing their Ts. Ts are inverts and the only bone in their body is the exoskeleton. The problem with mice is that they are too rich in calcium, not good for Ts. Since calcium's main function is to strengthen bones and teeth in humans, it's strenghtens the exoskeleton.

  • @TarantulamanNC

contd'. When Ts molt, they NEED to break open this exoskeleton. Feeding too much mice causes the exoskeleton to become rock hard. Since the T molts it has a very hard time breaking open and suffer a "wet molt". Its a bad molt which the T wont recover. Theraphosa species are famously known for chronic molting problems regardless if you feed them mice, because of their size. If you check RobC's P.regalis molt, he got from a owner that fed it mice, and it died a month later.

  • Hah I use my iPhone love da video quality but my vids are no where near as good as yours man Ur my t hero(well you and tarantulaguy1976) I want hundreds of t's one day:)

  • lol! "I think that's enough for her"

I think that was enough for you lol! your voice tone changed dramatically with that last poke...

(but seriously, what a loud hiss, scary stuff)

  • you must buy a better camera

  • @fuck4freedom

you MUST watch the newer videos. I have an HD camera. What's important here is the content of the video, NOT the quality

  • @Jon3800 yeah but 2 properly enjoy the content u need quality :P

    good vid btw ^_^

  • @crimsonwhine

true, but if you saw the 2010 videos I put up, I am using an HD camera

  • lol, you have millions of spiders at the start in the background :P

  • Hi...Jon

Which one of these is more easy to take care and less agressive:

Ephebopus uatuman, Lasiodora parahybana or Nhandu collratvillosum???

    Thank's

    Regards...

  • hey i have my tank at 85ish-90 humitty!! but my temp is 70-72!! how do i up the heat?? im not using lights or heat pads!!! i thought the humitty would up heat but hasnt!! my t is 2inch roughly!!

  • @Hadsatriani

use very warm water to mist substrate. This will keep the heat in. I simply heat the room

  • i have a theraphosa blondi on the way. i have a 10 gallon tank set up with probably about 3 inches of substrate. med size bark hide (for now) an open (no pebbles) shallow water dish. shes coming in a 4'' female. anything else i should put in there? im not too worried about heat bc in the winter time my room is roasting hot at times and the weather is very nice right now.

  • @kungfuxdrummer

    its fine

  • nice info :D 10X

  • do they try to bite you at all

  • they all bite, i haven't got bitten yet

  • Lucky you, I used to think that trapdoor spiders could not jump. My African Red Trapdoor shot that hypothesis down like a duck.

  • Awesome video.

I used to really hate spiders, but I've been thinking about trying them out since I'm losing interest in reptiles.

  • they're nice to look after and way easier than reptiles

  • Only thing I dont understand is heating.

I've been told not to use an UTH.

So am I supposed to just heat the entire room?

For just one or a few spiders this would seem like a bit much..

  • As long as you keep the room between 75-82F it shouldn't pose a problem.

Heating pads are never recommended. As Ts are cold blooded, they seem to react more susceptible to heat than cold. Heating the tank causes hot spots and can burn your T.

We call Ts tarantulas for short

  • I really admire you

I couldnt find the time for so many specimens

    Good job mate

  • Very nice spider looks very well taken care of, im not a fan of spiders but apparently i seem to like this one :)

  • your comment fails, I have a "lift".

  • ok, bye and consider yourself blocked

  • i bet your some middle aged bitch who lives with their parents still because you never graduated from fucking elementary school. Jon is way smarter then you, me and most other people. your such a dip shit. you know your a pathetic worthless peice of shit. P.S. sorry jon if you read this i apoligize for the cursing to this idiot on your video.

  • im sorry i meant on your comments

  • i Enjoyed it, I was going bad mouth him, but took the words out of mouth :)

  • get a lift? doing a little drunk typing are we? Just talking shit to random strangers from the safety of your computer? Think your the one that needs to get a "lift" as you call it. Your pathetic

  • she's beautiful. I had one once but she died. Take good care of her

  • thanks, they're not easy ones to raise partly because of their chronic molting problems

  • shes pretty bald shouldnt aggrevate them.

  • T.blondi flicks hairs at the slightest disturbance, even your giving it water food, or cage maintenance. And they shed hairs in around the cave. She's never been bothered nor handled. I was simply demonstrating their stridulation

  • I fed my Grammostola Rosea a feeder mouse, and it scared the hell out of me. The mouse struggled so much, I was affraid for my Crowley.

  • you shouldn't feed feeder mice, its quite dangerous to any tarantula be it a rosea or a blondi

  • Wow, in a 10 gallon tank I would think she's cramping inside. What are the dimensions of the tank?

Great vid btw, always wanted a T Blondi. =D

  • Actually she's fine in a 10 gallon tank.

    length 50 cm

    height 25cm

    width 26 cm

  • Wow thanks. I wanna make one just like that. =D

  • I bought it at petstores

  • I find it interesting that you used Centimeters. ^.^

Do we have different metric systems?

    (I live in Texas)

  • @wiccaboy210 In Canada and the rest of the world we use centimeters. The U.S. is the only country in the world to not use the metric system.

  • The pink foot Goliath is the largest! But Goliath bird eaters are the second. And guess what? My Psalmopoeus irminia molted a good 3 inches now!

  • not always the case. It depends on the individual specimen.

  • Some T.blondi specimens can max out at 10 inches, but congrats on P,irminia molt

  • Yup a good three inches i'm going to try and pull out the molt without getting my finger taken away!

  • use tongs

  • Hey man cool vid. Here is something that you may find interesting, my B. Boehmei has "hissed" at me when disturbed. Its not very loud at all actually its very hushed but it does in fact "hiss".

  • mine does too :)

  • 1st view 1st comment, o ya nice blondi man!!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks dude :)

  • nice!

  • thanks :)
