Слышала Матаеву в роли Татьяны в концертном исполнении, в Риме с Гергиевым. Все, что выше Фа2 пела настолько широко, что к финальной сцене связки в верхнем регистре перестали полноценно смыкаться. Голос сипел и трещал. Не спела ни одной верхушки! Цепляла, и слетала с них.

А как актриса не состоялась вообще. Ни одной живой эмоции на лице!!! Ни у юной влюбленной девочки, ни у царственной особы с последнего акта...

As far as I know, he's going to sing Shostakovich's The Nose at the met. I wish he sang more in the big theaters, partly because I'm Brazilian and of course am proud we have such a great baritone and especially because the theaters deserve to hear such a solid, natural and well trained voice. :-)
