What's your nutrition diet plan or w.e I stopped gaining weight after I hit 160 ibs I'm only 5"6 been like this for a month and a half now Hmu anyone who can help thnx
@ssjcell I actually describe it pretty much the same way.. He just fine tuned it mostly by emphasizing the elbows being even more narrow stanced. We learn as we go of course!
@scondore hey nick, i have a question about leg lunges. its kinda off topic but yeah, is it good or bad if your thighs and knees are sore the next day?
wow I have been doing this wrong... i thought super wide was the best way to go, great explanation nick, omw to the gym right now actually ill totally be trying this new lat pulldown technique. :)
you shouldn't try to give advice, you look like u've good genes , but if some people train like you they might hurt themselves, coz u don't have a proper technique , u should be more careful about u're lower back during back exercices.
@zozdude It's not because you become big that you can't be injured. When you're young you don't feel the effect of bad techniques you use , but when you grow up your body is damaged and you have to stop bodybuilding.
Besides , ectomorph means that his shoulders are as large as his waist , take a look he's no ectomorph at all.
@Josefsamurai true, but i disagree he is an ectomorph. before starting bodybuilding his arms were only 11.5 inches ! now they're 17 inches! check out his oldest bodybuilding videos you will notice a BIG difference with his body now and before.
You know what ur doing, but extending your arms all the way up until your elbows lock isn't good form. You're resting when you do that and I see in your videos you do a lot of fast motions. For instance here it's like you're pumping up and down as if you're washing a window. There shouldn't be any rush. It should be nice and slow. You definitely can do it at a faster rate like this if ur looking to get ur heart rate up, but you'd need to HOLD for a couple seconds and then go back. Good luck man!
Thank you so much for explaining how to do lat pulldowns properly, I have been doing them all the ways that I read and they never seemed to hit the lats, now that you have told me this I am going to destroy my back tomorrow and again in the weeks to come. Thanks again.
You must have like at least 10,000 dollars of equipment stacked in your basement there, damn it *envy envy >:( * And it sure looks like it pays off alot, much respect for your hard work and dedication, keep up the good work.
yeo nick i got a quick question, ive been lifting in a gym for about a year now and watching what i eat, and things like that. im really interested in getting into bodybuilding contest. i was woundering how u got started and like wat contest u started in? thanks.
lol thanks thats got a "load" off my mind lol cause i always assumed it would have a negative effect on bodybuilding and by the drinking i mean like on the occasion like when i go clubbing i might have a vodka and orange juice or something apart from that i tend to keep my nutrition in check
yo i jus wanted to ask as a teen bodbuilder there are a few things that bug me the most, especially as being 18 going out clubbing is something im fond of..1..how much does alcohol effect my muscular gains? 2. will sex effect my recovery? i.e losing nutrients protien that couls be used to help repair muscles makin the worekout a waste of time? thankss
@bboxinyou any form of ejaculation will knock a lot off your workout as yo said valuable nutrients but testosterone is lost aswell but it wouldnt affect recovery at all and as for drinking ..... just dont do it lol
you are the ONLY person on youtube that says that about the lat pulldowns! How the width between the hands should NOT be wide and not to just pull it straight up and down. You know a lot! :D *****
Hey Nick, quick question the width of my lats is not one of my strong points should i just do a combo of the ones you said or is there an excercise that will really hit the wing in particular (just goin for width)
@Duhello88 Following this video will do the job for you bro :) As long as you follow the specific TECHNIQUES I used in part 1 + 2, and not JUST the excercises, you will target your wing span quite efficiently.
@scondore Pull ups and chin ups? :) They're by far the most effective back movements ( the next ones being probably t-bar row, stiff legged deadlift, rows in general etc). In fact there has been professional bodybuilders that have been gifted with their back who did only pull ups for their back.
@scondore I have good lats but, I don't have much of a back towards the inside(middle where the muscle divide is) any tips would be greatly appreciated.-bob
@ianhudon Yes, back, legs, and arms are the main body groups I always get commented on, and are generally the main focus at photo shoots and shows.. My shoulders are decent enough to hold their own, and my abs can get pretty shredded... My chest and calves are my genetic weak points I am working on.
@EdgarRue; No, weight training will not stunt growth, so long as you do not damage any growth plates, or cause serious injury. Be sure to keep you protien/caloric intake high enough as well.
@timgee9999 Everyone has different types of genetics. Some may be bad or some good. The way you born decides how far and how good your body will turn out based on Genetics. Its something you are just born with lol. Basically if you work out with your friend and do the same exercises then your friend will have a better body than you if he has better genetics.
I know what the words mean, but what's the point of the comment you made? No-one can do anything about their genetics, except work with them, and Nick has worked extremely well with his.
You have to work with them lol. There is no other choice. The point of my comment was just to tell you wth it means cause it looks like you didn't know wth it was.
It's all personal preference. I always prefer it no matter what, but one of my traininer partners pulled 500 without it, when we were deadlifting together..
It's basically like a seatbelt.. You don't HAVE to wear it, and many people will be fine without... But it can most definitly save you at the same time.
nick.. i need your help... tell me about those weightlifting belts... i wanna put deadlifts on my back workouts... but i do not have a belt... can i do w/ out it?
You CAN do deads with out a belt, and it will actually help strengthen your core.. But you will want one as soon as you start getting into the heavier sets...
Keep watching because we go into some serious Deadlifting NEXT!

not 100% true..
Sex won't affect your gains; it is actually very good for you.
Alcohol and smoking significantly reduces your speed of recovery.
That is why doctors tell you after surgery or bone fractions to not drink or smoke.
but going out once a week and drinking a few drinks won't hurt that much. Just don't drink a lot.
wubs23 2 years ago
