Frankly I believe your view more than the medics. I have stopped taking my thyroid tablets for the last 6 months and don't feel worse if not slightly better for doing so.

I don't trust Big Pharma they are in it for the money and do not care about people accept for financial gain

Its normal because when you get too low bodyweight, your thyroid will slow down, Because otherwise you would die.

NO don't use thyroid meds if you don't have hypothyroid. An overactive thyroid has negative side effects and can lead to death through thyroid storm.

I would like to know if, breathing in too much gas fumes from a leaking gas line in a car can disturb your thyroid? Also..., sometimes, I feel an uneasiness in my neck(around the Adam's Apple)but, when I give it a little sqeeze..., I feel a noticable relief. Is that a sign of a Thyroid problem? An ans. would definitely be appreciated!

We were simply pointing out that when one has low cell energy there is a survival benefit to low metabolism, and low thyroid is one way to achieve this. We have found virtually every one of our hypothyroid patients are able rid themselves of that condition as we predicted. Also, we would argue that the detrimental symptoms associated with hypothyroid are not nearly as detrimental as the alternative. It is a symptom of something else going on. Thanks for your comment.

so according this, if the TSH is chronically high and the

thyroid doesnt make enough tyroxine to stabilize it, it's just a defensive mechanism? right...

also keep in mind all the debilitating symptoms of hypothyroidism, many of which can be much more detrimental than this imagined "buildup of acids" theory.
