So, I was making a joke to an old crush of mine that I hated happy music, and for me to absolutely love a song it needed to have piano, and be in a minor key.

We made the joke that Cannon in D was too happy, and we wondered what Cannon in D-minor would sound. Eventually found this, and was very pleased.

I think this Canon version is a very beatiful melody but it is not for me a sad version. A sad version bring me to cry, This version is like a Canon play only with a another tone, It is only my opinion it is a beatiful melody but not sad. Sorry for my bad english.

He's just playing Canon in D minor instead of D. With a few little tweaks. It's easy to find the score for Canon and D, just transpose it to D minor.
