@SamRemz I definitely agree there. I was a little disappointed with Bleed American after Clarity (my favorite album). I mean, I still like it, they don't make any songs I heartily dislike. But then Futures came out and I immediately loved it.

@obiwannotanikan there's a few songs on the "Stay on my side tonight" that should have been on Futures replacing a few of their weaker songs. I like Just Tonight, but it sounds like Pain too much to be on the same record. There are a few "sister" songs on that album. It would have made the EP more interesting. I think this is their second best album. Static meant alot to me but musically its ok. most JEW I love but don't have a place in my heart for the latest album yet.cnt get into it

I'm not sure that Jimmy Eat World actually tries to make songs long...they probably just have more ideas than the majority of the other artists out there. They don't push songs too long if they run out of material (WIWSTYN) and they don't shorten them if there's still material on the table. Alot of bands I know really struggle to make songs at least three minutes long...typically because they're lazy.
