  • @Poseidon99Jeus thats a bit harsh dude. He is a very good player and still young so time to improve. And Chinese are not the best becuase they are Chinese lol they are the best due to the whole setup in china. Bring that same setup over here? We'd be the best in the world.

  • Drinkhall, just cant compete with the top Chinese. They'rejust too good. Nothing against Drinkhall, but it's like a cattle mart in China with the players they're producing. Xu Xin, Ma Long, Chen Qi,Wang Hao, Wang Liquin. Where does it stop with these guys. You also have the current olpmpic champion Ma Lin, who prob wont make the chinese team for London 2012. Thats how good these guys are. Im sure there is plenty more as good as if not better than Drinkhall that wont get near the chinese team.

  • funny enough... the english were the ones who invented this sport... but he played a hard game nonetheless

  • I swear I hear He Zhi Wen in the background somewhere.

  • Instead of Paul Drinkhall his name shoud be "Paul Drinkball"!

  • The english dude is sooo fat and slow for table tennis... easy lunch

  • @PingPongGod1 saw him in real life, hes not fat at all... He might not be as skinny as xu xin but for your information the number 1 of the world wang hao is "fatter" like you say it. And even wang hao is not fat.

  • did drinkhall win by 11-0 at the second set?

  • @BlueSkiiez Drinkhall won the second set 11-6

  • Hi Liu Jia Yi! From Australia :)

  • paul drinkhall is a bit fatty I think ^^

  • The coach in the corner is Jia Yi Liu the BTTF/ETTA Head Performance Coach

  • Big difference in ability. XX is only half trying. Good for the English players to get exposed to some top TT though. Good post! Thanks

    Who is Drinkhall's chubby coach?

  • Big difference in ability. XX is only half trying. Good for the English players to get exposed to some top TT though. Good post! Thanks

  • 2:34 if you liste carefully, is that He zhi wen?

  • England will never dominate the great sport of table tennis

  • im 1-1 in sets and 3-3 in the third so far. This will be ahar battle to the end

  • i could hear schlagers shout in the background at the beggining

  • Xu Xin should play with his right hand to offset the skill handicap, then we might have a good game :P

  • I can hear He Zhi Wen smashing in the background. :P

  • Very good quality, very interesting filming angle.Good job!

  • clearly xu xin is not playing at his best

  • i think english player need more sparring with strong chinese player. Drinkhall is a good player, but he lack experience against strong player with level above him.

IF he get more sparring with strong player, maybe in 4 year ,he will replace Timo Boll as Best EUROPE TABLE TENNIS PLAYER!

  • @sariwangi56 thts kind of an overstatement considering timo also doesnt spar with the chinese

  • @Chinesekage eh, Boll actually has done a decent amount. He played in the superleague for a season or something, so that should give a lot of opportunity to play Chinese players.

  • @scylla24 eh i guess ur right but the chinese are constantly changing their strategies and playing styles..and i also heard that europeans werent allowed to play at the chinese superleague anymore jus cuz boll was growing accustomed or something o.O dunno if thts true

  • @Chinesekage well well

it isn't like they are not allowed to play in the superleague

it like you can't find a single club which want to have a european player

remmber that Boll and Samsonov used to play in the superleague? they may lose to anyone! way to unstable and expensive, you have to pay Boll more than 70000 Euro for a single season (2005,Guangdong Baomashi wanted to hire Boll and Maze) Of course, they haven't got enough time to play a complete superleague season too

  • @sariwangi56

he will first need the talent for that..

I think apolonia baum and franziska are way better european players.

  • @sariwangi56 agree totally, there were many points where he was just a split second too slow...clearly he needs to play more with top chinese players, i don't think there are many high level left handed rpb penholders in europe. drinkhall's forehand topspin is very good for a european. but his footwork is lacking. he does a really good job at receiving serves but his placement is a little off, allowing xu xin to attack first almost all the time. typical chinese dominance at close table play.
