i watched hers i watched yours and about 50 of them im not sure my man i just got lost and it pissed me off i wanted it done quickly but it didnt work so im still being a wolf i just dont have stilts :[
@wolfcookieo9 bummer dude. i got mine done (the fabrication aspects, not the furring) in about 2 hours....but I'm really mechanically inclined (and an amateur woodworker, of sorts). The crafty aspects of the project (applying the foam and fur) is what pissed me off.
@wolfcookieo9 Maybe i'll do the next pair by the end of the year. Where did you get lost? Did you watch @gryphern's original videos? I based my design on theirs, but made the modifications I explained in this video.
well its ok thanks for replying but i ended up throwing it all out it made me angry the peices werent going together i needed someone to tell me how to do it step by step but owell
@wolfcookieo9 Bummer. Would it be helpful if i made a step by step video? i was thinking of making another pair anyway. what part was getting you the most hung up?
@crazykyle401 the toe piece under the ball of my foot in the shoe is about 5'' up from the toe plate....if that's what your'e asking. And as for the position of the shoe, YES, it really matters. I didn't think it would either and tried to mount them higher up on the structure and found it VERY difficult to not fall backwards.
That means that Gryphern's original design is correct....you must place the balance point no further than mid shoe.
ok so you bungee cords, foot board, angle board, ground board toe flap, door hinge, 2 eyelet screws, pvc cup, t bracet, toe board, velcro tape, lock washers, washers, bolts, where did you get the rails? what are they called?
@wolfcookieo9 Hey wolf, sorry i'm just seeing this. They're just rails I found at Home Depot. They were by all of the garage door hardware, and other steel tubing/rails/angle pieces.
hope that helps...in time for Halloween especially.
@decepticon0414 glad u dig the design modifications and hope urs turn out great. for me, the furring of the stilts was by FAR the hardest part for me, fyi.
@chloelover4ever so glad ya like the stilts. i researched, researched, and researched them to death! i took the best parts of the best designs on youtube and put them together to come up with my version. I'd love to see how yours turn out.
I'll upload another video sometime soon showing the fur and me walking in them. they turned out unbelievably well....and are surprisingly easy to walk in. Like i said in the video, the balance point of the heel is of pivotal importance....pun intended. ;-)
watched a few--gonna try your design--looks pretty simple--
