I walked past this place once, thought it was a display model with a mannequin, so I went inside and bought a casket. Never knew that it was a viewing and a real dead person! OMG!!!
I work in the funeral industry, and this is a scam! First you rent a hearse for the funeral, and of course the limo! plus the cost of the removal (vehicle used), and now these fools want you to rent a car to go to the viewing? Please, it's added cost.

Serious- Great for families that cannot afford traditional visitation but want to have a dignified viewing. Notice-you can still sign the register book. There is no right or wrong way-funerals are for the living and families and friends. People have to do what is best for them.

I think people should listen to what she said about the idea. I know this used to be tradition back south wakes at home and like drive thru wakes where you just stop to view the body! There is a drive through funeral home in Chicago on the southside....but it's a screen instead of the body being laid out the way it is on this video.

When I was a child in the late seventees, my buddies and I would meet at Marathon burgers on Sunday morning and walk over to Adams funeral home and check out the dead bodies. My buds would laugh at me because I would stare at the window while eating my fries soaked in ketchup. We were only ten years old, but we never had a dull moment in Compton. Take it from someone who knows Compton..

Adams Funeral Home was so busy in the eighties from all of the dead bodies that were found throughout the city during the crack cocaine wars. I wont mention the old gangs, but growing in Compton back in the day sure gave you a callous heart. If people knew who you were, you did not have a problem so as long as you kept your mouth shut. If you were unknown then you were pretty much in bad shape. The code just worked taht way. Three decades later, Compton has become a Disneyland.

I live in Compton. The lady in the coffin is Mrs. Bernice Woods. She was a political heavy weight in the city. When I was a child in the late seventees, my buddies and I would meet at Marathon burgers on Sunday morning and walk over to Adams funeral home and check out the dead bodies. My buds would laugh at me because I would stare at the window while eating my fries soaked in ketchup. We were only ten years old, but we never had a dull moment in Compton. Take it from someone who knows Compton..
