lol I'm not sure if you guys made this video as a joke or not, but the TiPX isn't a new version, there was a legal issue for tippmann using the brand name of TPX due to TPX sports having the copyright to it, so tippmann changed the name to avoid legal problems. there aren't any differences between a TPX or a TiPX, if you take them both apart you will see there isn't any difference between the two. the name is the only change.
@leelatt yes, we did explain that in the video along with a couple times in these comments. Although the TiPX could be considered the "new" version since it is guaranteed to have all of the up to date fixes that the original TPX had. The TiPX also comes with the tru-feed 7 ball mags as well.
Don't know how you guys were loading the mag, I found that there's a little grip on the side of the spring that you can pull all the way down and it locks the spring into place... Then you can load the ammo and hit the bottom of the mag all you want and the balls will go nowhere. It only released when the magazine is slid into the gun.
@jimbojetset2010 yup, thats the one and only way to load the TiPX mags. Even after this, if you bump the bottom of the mag, paintballs will pop out like in the vid.
Thank you both for the revisit on this marker. I always wondered why it ejected a few paintballs in the mag pouch. I've resorted to using those rubber bracelets you get in gumball machines or Dollar stores to hold all the ounds in (while in the mag pouch). Have you guys tried field testing products durring games?
@tymbershade ya we have in-game videos of several markers check out our channel to find the vids. Unfortunately this time of the year, there aren't too many games.
@GatekeepersPaintball not even close. the TPX had to be renamed because of a baseball bat that owned the name "TPX'. The mags a are called "tru-feed" they have nothing to do with the "i" in the name. It's all legalities.
@ModernIntel ah, well I was going on information provided by Tippman when asked what the "i" stood for. Makes sense they wouldn't say it was due to legalities.
@GatekeepersPaintball ya like it does have to do with other reasons like the one you have said, but the primary reason is the legal name change. Do a search in Google for TPX and see what comes up to the top.
I own two 8.1's and was thinking about getting a tipx. Although my tib has some issues sometimes I think this review has turned me away from the tipx. 7 shots? With the tib you can load 1 in the chamber and 8 in the mag. The accuracy on the tib is a lot better too. Thanks for the review though looks like there are still issues with it though
@xCanuckfan16x With the TiPX you can load 1 in the chamber and another just on top for a total of 9 shots. But I have to agree with you, I find my T8.1 a little more accurate.
Which do you guys prefer the TiPX or T8.1?
gregcrux 4 weeks ago
@gregcrux T8.1, but we will be doing a comparison video soon as to why.

Danno0618 2 months ago

@ModernIntel Did you find that this was a problem across all mags you tried? I am assuming so :( I really want to pick one of these up.
xCanuckfan16x 2 months ago
@xCanuckfan16x do you mean with the paintball popping out with a little bump? If so, yes.

@ModernIntel I'll definately will check out those videos. We really need more indoor fields in the Northland and in Canada.

the "i" in TiPX means improved 7 ball tru-feed mag is included vs the old 8 round mag, that is all, internally no changes.
