You know, there's a nice subtext to Batman trusting J'onn so deeply: They're both intelligent detectives who've lost their families. Except in J'onn's case's could be considered worse because he was an adult when it happened and he lost his wife and little KIDS as well.

Bruce at least had Alfred and Leslie Thompkins, as well as Dick later on. J'onn whole species died and he was left alone to watch over their dead world for centuries.
