@prunepurple heheheh- you are probably right. I like JD, but I never thought of them as a cult band, personally, but I can understand how that could happen. They were just another good band from Manchester. The JD cultists bore the fuck out of me.
Mark E Smith is a frigging demi-god. Well he was when he could still talk. These days he sounds like a hedgehog being 'trimmed' with a circular saw. :o]
Used to listen to the fall lots when i was a teenager, it was the fall or the smiths. Until rundmc/aerosmith hit with 'walk this way' anyway. But I friggin hate the smiths, music to fall asleep to.... Actually no, If i tried to fall asleep to Morrissey i'd end up probably being arrested and sectioned. Friggin hate the smiths.
loved it. i too have some small weights and i was jerking them around to the music and watching at the same time- funny. the black and white stuff has got something special-gothic? a sense of evil with the shadows etc. the mirror image/small bed room with lights flashing is lynch/surreal/lacan.
if Mark E.Smith died young it would be a fucking cult band like Joy Division
