Hi again.. The pics on your blog for this color... on the Oct 2010 ...post ..are those the pics ..AFTER you used the Toner /Mixer..or are they of the same as the vid here..? I am trying to get a compairising of it LOL I am still in middle of hair..I have Yellow hair now LOL hahaha but going to get a nice Platium toner here in a bit. Any Recommendations..I don't think Sallys carry the Special Effects one

When did u do the bleaching? I took ur hair cut pics to my stylist yesterday and got the cut...I love it. I am bleaching my hair today from black to that too :) I hope it works okay lol I already had the purple in bangs for long time now and at least once a day I get compliments . :)

Heyy ; With the shampoo try using a moisturizing organic shampoo most of the time and only use the purple shampoo like once or twice a week. If you use the purple shampoo everyday it will eventually start to turn the blonde purple .. I know for experience (: Try that out (:

@XDcutiepiechippy Depends on where you are moving from, but housing is pretty expensive. $900 - $1200 per month with no roommate. But rent can change depending on which city you live in. $50 - $100/week for groceries depending on what you cook. It's hard to say because it really depends on your preferences. It does cost more money than living in Edmonton, but it's cheaper than Yellowknife.

Toner is a demipermanent color so it is deposit only, non lifting so no it won't mess with the violet but that's a good question

@pr1ncesscharming I asked her and she said that she just used regular lightener and 20 vol. cream. She applied it to the mid part of my hair first and then to the ends and roots. She let it process for quite a while twice and then toned it. Maybe my hair being short helps because the keratin isn't as hard as it is with longer hair making it more stubborn to lift?

@hellsforchildren Hahaha! I actually style it that way. I use the blow dryer to dry the roots upwards and the hair, because of it's length, is so heavy that it naturally falls down. Otherwise, it would just fall straight down. :)

Pureology shampoo and conditioner are fabulous for damaged hair. It actually replaces the missing protein INTO the hair shaft, not simply putting a layer on the hair shaft as most protein products do. It's my fave for home and for my clients! I wish they had a toning product for blonde hair. Simply Silver by ? is a great toning shampoo and conditioner, but not repairative like the Pureology. Oh, I love the colors!

to take the rest of the orange out of the ends you need a toner thats blue based or a little of a blue toner mixed into a violet toner.

@xlilqnbx The hooks are in between my lobes and plugs. Earrings are so light that I don't think it would interfere with stretching, but I have been at 5/8" for 8 years and I no plans on stretching anymore. :)

Clairol makes a salon shampoo called shimmer lights...I believe that's what it's called. The shampoo is purple! I used it when I had highlights and I loved it!

@MsGlitterazzi I am not sure how often I'm going to have to touch it up. I like to way short blonde textured hair looks with roots so we'll see how long I will last. I only touched up my roots every two months when it was pink. My hair has loose curls so I know what you mean. :)

ok so I can totallt relate to this I bleached out my hair this summer and my hair is short too so on the sides of your hair you will see roots quickly and will have to bleach my a lot so what i use to try and keep hair from breaking is a combination of things 1dumb blonde conditioner 2 aveeno leave in conditioner 3 kolestral treatment from Sallys it is dirt cheap but works so good luck with it and btw i love it!

I was afraid of the roots, but it looked really great on her and with the style of hair so I am no longer afraid of having some roots. :)

I like Solutionist So Silver by Matrix. It's a purple shampoo and it's really conditioning. You could also try Recover 2 or 3 By Bed Head. They are great for repairing damage.
