That's PITTANCE compared to the TRILLIONS we're talking about...I mean, excepting Gabby Giffords, of course (and she's evidence enough for what I'm saying), how much would u get by cutting their benefits, salaries, perks, and even subway system? A few hundred thousand? A million or two (or 3)?

I even think they deserve the health insurance, tho maybe $175,000/yr may be a bit _too_ much for a fair salary...I mean, the good ones deserve that, definitely (like Pelosi, demonstrably the best Speaker in the History of the House), but the bad one's should prob only get, like, $70,000/yr. Lol j/k.

I agree w/everything u said after "lobbying money," however, everything you said before was insane, and quite honestly, vengeful. These are important higher government officials...after all, one of them is 3RD IN LINE FOR THE PRESIDENCY, and quite frankly, they need and deserve the protection and security and even the Congressional Subway system. (Holy fuck, they have a SUBWAY?! *jealous* lol)

Another suggestion.cut the salaries in have to all U.S Senators & Representatives along their pensions & secret service protection.cut & shutdown the Congress Subway,make this lazy asses go outside & walk from building to building.crackdown on all their perks & force them to stop taking lobbying money.that's essentially a bribe & all should be prosecuted & put in real prisons.cut the defense Dept. to 60%.,stop hiring private Contractors,raise taxes on all Corporations,etc...

Regarding big spending bills proposed by Obama:

The reality is that the repugs won't go for it. They've already refused to do so when Obama proposed past stimulus bills.

Remember that boehner's house is 2 wks on/1 wk off & that mcconnell & cantor announced that they will do as little as possible regardless of how bad the situation becomes - all as some kind of twisted strategy to get votes in 2012.

So one can only do so much when confronted w/ the realities of the r/w mentality.
