  • That's a lot of nice seeds - must have taken a while to sort them out so neatly :)

  • @AsianCookingmadeEasy LOL, it took a lot longer than I had reckoned on...I almost lost the will to live when the Pak Choi were skidding all over the place.

  • Hahahahahahaha

  • Got the seeds of destruction yesterday thanks. Now I have a fecking job on my hands just to beat you. I did note one of the tiny seeds had a hole in it , did you by any chance inject any of mine with your super grow formula having put on a bet with paddy power on your good self to lose .

  • @mikecat23 Yeah, I injected the Basil seeds. You must have great eyesight. I have my wife sitting singing to my seeds right now, same sort of idea as playing music to babies in the womb.

  • @baconsoda Well let me tell you you low life gardener of the north. We here in the good south have put our best scientists on the case. And let me tell you we have just completed the DNA and genome sequencing of the seeds so while you keep singing to yours we know the songs they like. God some like me live beneath the top soil of life but you, yep you burn your roots in the lava and magma trying to be one step better. Let the games begin

  • @mikecat23 LMAOOOOOOOOO...

  • great and good luck toyou all. brendan i dont mean to put a downer on but will tomas; seeds go through portugese customs ok? especially the ones he cant get. i will be interested to hear

  • @garwains Hi Nicky, I hope the seeds get through. Interestingly, I didn't have to do a customs declaration and I used a padded envelope so they might sneak in. I've got seeds from Europe so it might not be an issue. I haven't forgotten your pen pot but, as you might have seen, I had no lathe for a while. I also had no suitable wood but I think that's sorted now. Send me your address in a message please, I've lost our address book (again). The others are somewhere safe too.

  • I'm still laughing at the fact that I'm almost on the equator while your on the north pole . It's a small world takes on a new meaning since I'm about 40 miles south of you .

  • @mikecat23 Shushhhhhhh... don't be telling them that.

  • Holy Criznap....how fun, enjoy them!

  • I ordered a small greenhouse today from amazon to grow plants from seeds, so maybe when the seeds arrive, i'll have everything prepared for them!! As soon as I finish my college exams, I'll send you some potatoes of the 3 varieties I'll grow this year so we can compete on those too!! Tomas

  • @MrVegetableGarden That'll be good fun. Good luck with the exams.

  • Fair play to you Brendan, i'd be in the mad house with robbie if i had to try to pack seeds like those. I will make a few videos surely, i wont plant them all in one go, bit much for me to grow all at the same time

  • Your dedication is admirable, Brendan, You put in a good day's work sorting out all those seed. Despite climate differences, I'm cheering for your results to be tops...

    Regards, Gary

  • @garygardens LOL, I need al the help I can get.

  • just dashed off to sub Eric and discovered I'm already subscribes, nice channel. It will be fun to see the results of your seed sharing.

  • @dalecalder2003 Yeah, I'm looking forward to this year. I'll have to work really hard to get a good show.

  • @baconsoda Relax LOL you always have a good showing.

  • Whinging is such a great word. I wish we used it in our vocabulary, here in the States, more than we do in our lives.

  • @docsimonson LOL, we have lots of great words, I must sprinkle in a few more.

  • @baconsoda Hmm... It sounds as though you accept the words of George Bernard Shaw, that "England and America are two countries separated by a common language." ;-)

  • @docsimonson I'm sure GBS meant the United Kingdom when he used England.

  • there isn't a hope in hell i would be able to pack all those seeds i would go of me head

  • @robbiethewood LOL, I almost did.

  • When do you usually start planting your potatoes?

  • @MrVegetableGarden March. Old wisdom says plant on St. Patrick's Day, the 17th March, but it's not critical. I generally wait until the last week of March or first week in April. Just home from posting the seeds so you should have them soon.

  • YEY!! So many seeds!! I just watched your video smilling all the way through! I'm so happy right now! I'll surelly post some videos for the competition, lets see how it goes! Tomas

  • LOL Don't forget to hand write out the growing instructions for all of us :-)

  • @mikecat23 LOL, you're sitting at a computer, it's amazing what you can find other than YouTube. It was soul-destroying enough cutting out the labels and chasing seeds around the table. Just home from posting the seeds.

  • that was entertaining, lol

look forward to see how these grow

  • @tblbaby LOL, I'm looking forward to this. Nothing like a bit of competition to keep you focussed.

  • nice

  • Sounds fun to see the difference in results. Good luck.

  • @niffer58 Thank you, I need all the luck I can get.

  • Congrats Mr Soda...

Very generous of you to share the seed...

    May they all grow well....

  • @bnbob01 Thanks Rob, there were far too many seeds for me so it makes sense to share. Also, with this World-wide seed sharing we have going on YouTube I'll never have to feel guilty about wasting seed again because there's always more than I need in most packets.

  • Excellent to share and compare. What a great experiment with all the same varieties! Quite the upcoming year. Thanks for sharing.

  • @JaxRL I'm looking forward to the year and seeing how things grow. I imagine Tomas, in Portugal, will have something of an advantage in terms of weather and heat but us Irish boys will give him a good run for his money.

  • Be sure to grow those plants with the intention of preserving their genetic purity, so in turn, you can send out more seed of the same, to those interested. This is vital in today's world of hybrids, GMO's and terminator genes.

  • @CombineWizard I'll check to see which are pure strains and let the others know. As you say, it's important to keep these strains alive.

  • @baconsoda Yes, miniature seed/variety test plots!
