You're not allergic to the hair of the cat, you're allergic from something in their spit. Allergies act up when around cats because they have spit on their fur. You have to was a sphynx every week or so because they get too oily, but if you wash any cat every week or so, your allergies should not act up :D

Are they difficult to take care of? I read since they dont have any hair you have to clean or do something special for their eyes and ears. Six hairless cats is a lot!!!

You have to clean the ears every week.

And clean between the toes and cut the nails. When we had kittens we had 10 cats x 18 nails = 180 nails a week... -OO-

Every now and then the take a bath also.

Nou we have 4 sphynxcats, they are so funny and sweet!

Cosmo is beautiful (or rather I say, handsome : ) I would love to have a Sphynx cat, but they are truly expensive (last time I checked they were running around $1,000 - $1,500 - whew!) Nevertheless, it is very obvious that Cosmo is very loved. What a lucky cat : )
