one unmention factor for the german loses was the fact that most of their troops carried bolt action K98 Mauser rifles only, while most american troops carried 8 shot semi automatic Garand rifles and the american troops also had the thompson submachine gun, grease gun and M-1 carbine...Most of their guns are either semi auto or full auto
Japanese troop also carried bolt action Arisaka rifles
@HistoryHmoobGuy Bolt-action rifle on the German side and the Japanese side was barely a factor at all that cost them the war. Please restudy your history. American M1 Garands had huge disadvantageous that many times cost American troops their lives.

Stalingrad was over months on a larger scale this was over 1 day. But i would agree if you said the eastern front was more savage then the western. Hell mid '45 were even entire German Battalion's and other smaller units were trying to find the allies so they could surrender to them rather than face the Russian's.

By the way I am American and this show was made for an American audience so they use American history to help them understand Sun Tzu. This is a good way to teach Sun Tzu. If I was teaching Russians I would use Kursk, Peter the Great and Napoleon's invasion of Russia so try and understand the method is effective based on the target audience.
