I have a question, "Why are all these Soaps leaving us?" first (Guiding Light), (As The World Turns) and now (All My Children) and (One Life To Live), must be some Soap haters out there at CBS and ABC who want more boring talk shows, it's sad and ridiculous.
@laurac555 the gay storyline was better than any story they had on these past couple of years. It was also getting better when Dr. Oliver came in to pair up with Noah. I think budget cuts along with bad writing played a part in the cancellation.
my mom is soooooo sad about it! she LOVED that show! i remember when i was little & when she had to go 2 work on the hours that it would be on, she would tape it on the vcr. & on the weekend mornings, i would cuddle up 2 her & watch it with her. good memories
I'm trying to get into watching soap operas, but it's so hard when you don't know what the hell's going on. reality shows are pretty much the same thing but filmed documentary style. any soaps anyone would recommend that aren't ending anytime soon?
soapstud5 You got that right!! CBS is sooo stupid for getting rid of such an excellent soap like "As The World Turns!" I miss this daytime drama and "Guiding Light" very much. As a matter of fact, daytime TV doesn't exist for me anymore. Goodbye CBS and Proctor & Gamble, you both suck.
My sentiments are shared with the rest of you soap fans. The next thing you know, either ABC will be the only place to find daytime soaps or there won't be anything on daytime television except maybe reruns of mindless reality shows and live talk about politics and all that stuff.

Wow.... I just heard it on the evening news....what's going on??? First Guiding Light, now As The World Turns. Daytime soaps are slowing fading away.
