I love Switchfoot. I love Jon Foreman and everything the guys have done with music. They are my favorite band in the whole world and this song really means a lot to me. I feel when a song is brought out, the music has to move along with the lyrics. To be perfectly honest, I feel the remix totally messes up the meaning of the song. It was perfect just the way it was. But that's just my opinion.

@whereismysoul i have made a techno song on the computer, it was about 7 min long and took me 2.5 hours to make, just to prove this point to a friend. it wasnt as polished as some techno stuff but neither is thisvideo. meanwhile me and a few of my friends jammed and tried to write a son g last summer using drums, guitars, bass, 4 person vocals we spent 6 hours and came out with a 1.5 min song that admittedly sucks techno just takes away from the people who spend years mastering an instrument

@dmanrulez1 It doesn't prove anything. Repeat it after when you've released your song at a (big) label. I can make a song with a guitar or with a PC in 5 minutes but both will be a crap, you can't make a good song in 2,5 hours. The biggest artists like Axwell or Laidback Luke work with songs for months or sometimes a year.

ok. really. yes the real version is obviously better than a remix, that being said, switchfoot endorses it because they are fans of creativity and people who use talents for music (like it or not creating this on a computer is as tough as playing the instrument. just in a different way, neither one of us could do this). I think they love the fact that someone can take their song and have fun with it and make it their own.

@TheMasterOFmoving I certainly wouldn't say "ruin". Though I definitely agree some music is better unaltered, this is something Switchfoot themselves are promoting. I personally think it adds some emotion. Neither is "better" than the other, just different. Listen to which ever one you like more...it is just a remix after all...
