  • In the early 1970s a whale was washed up here. It was put on the back of a lorry and taken around the local towns. I have a vague memory of seeing it at Clairville Common in Middlesbrough.

  • Poignant! I'm glad you posted it! Its educational! A lot of people have no concept of what a whale is or of its size! Seeing footage of even a dead whale will encourage a lot of people to learn more. WE need to protect all the worlds bounty!

  • The wildlife magazines are actually non-fiction and are very educational unless people know of any fiction magazines ocz i and anybody else don't coz there isn't any ficitious wildlife magazines.

  • Animals are one of the things are remain interested in especially endangered animals and the diligent work that is undergone to ensure the maintainance of the species is the best part as it is the most rewarding. Caring animal lovers don't post videos on the internet for others to look at. That is turning into human cinema and a spectacle of a dead creature which sounds pretty sick when you think. The best way to remember this creature is by remembering it as it was which I do have a clue about

  • I am actually an animal lover and recently read an article about the life of a sperm whale in the May 2011 edition of BBC Wildlife Magazine off the coast of Dominica in the Caribbean. It was very thought provoking, informative and compelling and I learnt a lot about sperm whales from reading that one article. If you really want to know more about sperm whales then read that article it will have post on the internet if you haven't got the magazine.

  • @boldovah you do get whales in our part of the world even off the coast of Sunny Redcar But not Sperm Whales so you might of seen some sort of whale.

  • I didn't put this video on so we can all gorp at it and laugh at it, it is reality, like people, they are born and they die but this can tell us how to stop this from happening again and hopefully people will think about creatures like this more. When was the last time you thought about a sperm whale and what goes on in our seas and oceans and how they have to survive and how to keep them and many other creatures from becoming extincted? I am not an idiot i love animals especially marine life

  • @XxiReJeCtZxX yeah ignore that knob, she (im guessing 'she') is obviously just someone who loves to complain about nothing, theres nout wrong with posting it on here, its just raising awareness about the incident isnt it, i mean she calls herself an animal lover but she doesn't 'love' this whale in particular does she, who's she kidding really? absolute bullshit is what it is lol. once again no harm done here dont make this person guilt trip you.

  • Which idiot has posted this on you tube haven't you got any respect, compassion or any morality? Would you like to be filmed if you were lying there dead I bet you wouldn't Shame on you show some respect, dignity and compassion for dead animals

  • Yes it was Dead the poor thing died around 9.30 am on the morning and they where trying to hold it back from the tide to be examined properly the next day.

  • was it already dead, hard to tell in the video?

  • Good camera work and follow up information.

  • Chavs were taking the piss last night, people should leave it alone in peace now

  • how far up from the roundabout is it? if your coming from town....
