They're not attempting to be the same thing. Robin of Sherwood took itself more seriously and had a more mystical thing going on. Robin Hood (2006) is deliberately campy and anachronistic. (Kind of like the very campy 1960s Batman TV series is markedly different from the various Batman feature films of the '90s and '00s. I wouldn't want to compare them either. They're all different.)

I look at the iTunes store and the Robin Hood series 1 & 2 get 4-1/2 stars from customers, so I guess enough customers think it is "good."

i agree with dsdsdrsf. but i'm really sad that jonas armstrong, who plays robin hood, is meant to be leaving at the end of this series. i have no idea how they're gonna pull that off...
