I have a dark brown, silky hair. I put two packets and a cup of water into a boiling pot and let it boil. I then poured it into a bowl and stuck my hair in it for an hour. AND IT WORKED. Easy as freaking that.

@sofiRaWr1: it depends on how much you wash your hair. I have done it several times and it does come off little by little whenever you wash your hair. I wash my hair everyday so mine usually comes off completely in one week

I did this and ended up not liking it. All it takes is a cup of boiling water and laundry detergent to get it half way out. Then just use that two or three more times and it should be gone(:

@TwiggyThump NEVER WASH YOUR HAIR WITH BAKING SODA! it damages your hair. Baking soda is for cooking same well as koolaid but koolaid is healthy for your hair becuase your coloring it.And baking soda makes your hair fall out & it can cause your hair to reject any kind of coloring.Like it would come out int he shower or the next day by rejecting it.

I'm a red head so there aren't many colors that work with it

I did purple because it's nice and dark, but if you have darker hair, definitely put some lemon juice in it and go in the sun for a while to lighten it before even considering this

Warning, i died my hair with kool-aid at the end of agust and i still have it! Salons have tried absolutley everything to get it out... Kool-aid is a stain and cannot be removed from hair even with die! take that into consideration before dying

isk tthink so since ur hair is black i think the best thing to do is to bleach that part of hair that u want purple and then put the koolaid u can actually bleach it urself it cost about 5 dollars in the beuaty supply store :)

@singerslips YES. It doesn't come out. I would reccomend only doing the tips of your hair that you can cut off or the underlayer that is not typically visible, unless you dye your hair often and would not mind redying it when you get sick of the Kool Aid! :)
