There's no way to say.. it all depends on how easy the animation is (holding figures up, getting them to the right pose, etc), how many pictures you're going to take, how determined you are on finishing it, and many other factors.

For a 6 minute movie, I'd say several days to a week? Again, it depends..

tape helps hold them to the ground, too. Just tape the figure's feet to the floor or whatever.

How do you get them to leap up during transformations?

Thats probably one of the hardest parts right?

Be creative i guess. usually we hold the figures at the very tip and make sure it doesnt show in the camera. that scene where dreadwing dodges the laser beams was taken with the camera held vertically or whatever. If not, we use microsoft paint to hide any fingers,strings, etc.
