Man if I were you I would just stop cutting your hair on the top and leave it alone and let it grow, just get the sides faded and let the hair on the top alone, alot of men black and white go bald, because they get their hair cut every week, and thats bad for your hair, so just get the sides faded and leave the top alone for awhile.
It will grow hair on the temples and hairline. It's just so gradual it's hard to notice, just like losing hair in the first place. Also, check out vitamins and reviews on hair growth formulas, regenix is not in the top ten products but is the most expensive. If I hadn't started regenix already, I would try top consumer rated products first.
Regenix is expensive and is a slow process, it's like 300 bucks a month, but I do see hair that has grown since I started, it's a different length. It's been 3 months. They say 6 months is the peak period when you start to see better results. Once 6 months is up, you don't need to use it everyday so the cost will drop significantly.
@TheJJHman i agree it looks worse for young ppl and teens and younger to have shaved heads into a buzzcut or a crew cut or super short but a little onger than a buzz than it does on older men
Regenix, it's expensive but I have new hair growing where it was receding. Rogaine is for thinning at the back like yours, maybe try that first, it's cheaper.

wait a minute, are you 40 or more, then you shouldn't worry about it. it's normal and women are more accepting when they reach that age. remember they reach their so called sexual peak, that means almost anything will turn them on. plus there is way more to a guy then hair. how would a lady feel if she had hairloss, I'm sure she would hope like crazy that men would give her a chance. So don't worry, it may be in your attitude, I don't think a true genuine women would turn you down over hair.
I know exactly how you feel. I'm losing my hair due to an infection, it will correct itself after the infection goes away but I'm totally self conscious about it. I'm 22, and my baldness was one of the reasons I quit my job :(

I've started working out because if I'm ripped and in good shape it will make up for being bald LOL. Not really but it will make me feel better about myself. You should do the same. @ofnarcr It's not false hope, it's fact. Everyone has to decide for themselves what resources are worth putting into their health... keeping fit, keeping healthy, keeping their hair, etc... It DOES, however, require effort and motivation, not just "hope." It's ok if it's not important to you, but for men who don't want to look like the 'bald biker,' and especially for women, they need to know that treatment is available.

Me too, mate. Since I was 18 til today almost 27. Widows peaks, crown and a big nose too. I found keeping it very short made it less obvious and boosted my confidence. Sure I'm balding but I look damn good with a shaved head and so would you.

Another thing I've noticed with male pattern baldness, is, your forehead morphs into a really fat head aswell - I used to have a lovely thin looking head, it's morphed into a fucking potato, that sucks.

Dont worry and try not worry about it. Its really bad on your self esteem, but remember its part and parcel of being a fella. Its just some lucky gits keep their locks all their lives. Humour goes a long way in dealing with it. Anyway they'll have cure within a few years now.

When you start to go bald, dont sit back and do nothing - do everything in your power to bring your dead grafts back to life - rub vinegar into your bald spots in the morning, then wash it out before you go to bed, change your diet - quit the fry ups and chocolate, exerciese more, buy certain shampoos that say 'for dull, brittle, lifeless hair'.

you need to find out where your nearest transplant centre is, which could be hundreds of miles away, then you need to stump 4 or 5 thousand pounds, plus you also have to make sure your not on medication that could have a bad side effect with this procedure.

But a hair-transplant is easier said than done mate, for starters, the your nearest hair-transplant facility could be something like 500 miles away, or halfway up the country, not to mention it cost many thousands of pounds/dollars.

dude hair transplant followed by minoxidil and 1mg of finasteride but not finasteride if you planing to have kids but do it soon as you still have a light covering of hair its a lot easier to grow hair back and impossible to grow back when completely bald also use a decent shampoo ssl free one all this has worked for me good luck

I now prefer to be shaved even if I could have a full head of hair. I think you would look OK with a shaved head. A moustache goes good with a shaved head too. male pattern baldness or alopecia causes hair-loss, not because you go to the barber's often and get it snipped - never heard so much dribble.

@ofnarcr It's not false hope, it's fact. Everyone has to decide for themselves what resources are worth putting into their health... keeping fit, keeping healthy, keeping their hair, etc... It DOES, however, require effort and motivation, not just "hope." It's ok if it's not important to you, but for men who don't want to look like the 'bald biker,' and especially for women, they need to know that treatment is available.

Me too, mate. Since I was 18 til today almost 27. Widows peaks, crown and a big nose too. I found keeping it very short made it less obvious and boosted my confidence. Sure I'm balding but I look damn good with a shaved head and so would you.

Another thing I've noticed with male pattern baldness, is, your forehead morphs into a really fat head aswell - I used to have a lovely thin looking head, it's morphed into a fucking potato, that sucks.

@Rob23 Well i'm 32 and i started losing my hair at age 22, i've always been lucky with girls, and even though i'm bald now the thing with girls hasnt changed. I guess it depends on how u expose ur self in the sense that u gotta have a nice attitude towards people. I think most people (bald ones) have a complex about it and tha makes them so insecure and people can see that...i guess..

well, it seems you started to lose hair in your thirties. Good for you. I actually started losing my hair when I was 17. Now Iam almost 21 and my hair is thining more and more rapidly. I think I´m gonna be bald in my 23-24. It sucks, but thats life, there are more important things than hair.

Well I'm 34 and started going bald when I was 18. It was all gone by 24 :( true it was sad so I shave my head or rock a Bruce Willis. Life is not over! I have played in 4 bands and nailed more women and hot women then I can remember lol...rock a hat with style shave or buzz ur head and be confident!

I know how you feel mate, male pattern baldness really sucks, whenever you see these great looking women in your local town centre shopping, they are all with men, who have full, entire mops of hair - without a bald spot in site.

10 years ago, when I had a full mop of hair, I had about 2 or 3 girlfriends, I've been balding the past few years - and not a sniff of a woman.

Dont worry and try not worry about it. Its really bad on your self esteem, but remember its part and parcel of being a fella. Its just some lucky gits keep their locks all their lives. Humour goes a long way in dealing with it. Anyway they'll have cure within a few years now.

When you start to go bald, dont sit back and do nothing - do everything in your power to bring your dead grafts back to life - rub vinegar into your bald spots in the morning, then wash it out before you go to bed, change your diet - quit the fry ups and chocolate, exerciese more, buy certain shampoos that say 'for dull, brittle, lifeless hair'.
I realise a hair transplant is the ultimate answer, but theres so much you can do.

you go bald, because your father is bald, you get it from your dad, hence the reason it's called male pattern baldness, NOT female family tree baldness.

Why are some people on here - making transplants sound so easy?... their not.
you need to find out where your nearest transplant centre is, which could be hundreds of miles away, then you need to stump 4 or 5 thousand pounds, plus you also have to make sure your not on medication that could have a bad side effect with this procedure.
not as simple, as just walking into nuxleys and buying a toy.

But a hair-transplant is easier said than done mate, for starters, the your nearest hair-transplant facility could be something like 500 miles away, or halfway up the country, not to mention it cost many thousands of pounds/dollars.

dude hair transplant followed by minoxidil and 1mg of finasteride but not finasteride if you planing to have kids but do it soon as you still have a light covering of hair its a lot easier to grow hair back and impossible to grow back when completely bald also use a decent shampoo ssl free one all this has worked for me good luck

I'm losing my hair in the same patter as you. i never realized it until i was looking at somebody's pictures of a friends bday party. there was one picture where i had my back to the camera, and when i saw that pic... my jaw dropped, and i was heart broken. then i came to terms with it

@DaveCoNz You made alot of valid points. My baldness progressed to a point where I had to accept it. I've been shaving my head for 12 years now. I get more attention from women. I now prefer to be shaved even if I could have a full head of hair. I think you would look OK with a shaved head. A moustache goes good with a shaved head too. AAAAAAA shaved head looks better than thinning hair.
