Awww . . . it breaks my heart even after all of these years and knowing how things turn out in the end. Stephen Nichols and Mary Beth Evans can really draw you in and make you feel the emotions of Steve and Kayla.

Stephen Nichols did such a great job of showing Steve's love for Kayla. Both he and Mary Beth were both very good at saying more with their eyes, facial expression, and voice inflection.. than the dialogue could ever say. I think that's why we were all so endeared to them cuz everything seemed so genuine. Some soap couples make ya wanna hurl with the fakeness.These guys were real.
