nice video and nice vette, mines exactly the same (high brake light too) but the vette driver is pretty damn good, how do you pull away quickly in it without spinning bearing in mind mine doesn't have traction control? i plan to take it to the strip but need to perfect the pulling away. nice cars though, if only they could make an American car with the fuel effeciency of jap cars...

Do you have Wheel Spacer's with your C5 Rims? I have an '86 Automatic with the non chrome rims. Front 25mm Spacer, rear 20mm Spacer, looks good. Great Car, alot fun to drive! I have a few mods, Longtube Headers, Chip, Flowmaster Exhaust, K&N, Descreent MAF and next month 1.6 roller rocker's.

I'll attribute those cars looking real fast to the amazing camera angles like whoever was holding it must have some kind of college degree in holding camera's. Also for that arm drop scene having that kid arm drop you guys was a lot better than having a hot girl do it. I had one arm drop race in the street and after I almost killed this girl when I slide sideways off the line I don't think I'll do it again.  It was nice giving your Dad a ride in the Corvette I mean he paid for it right?

Wow this video has such good quality guys! Nice going!! That's an L98 vette, one of the slowest vettes ever produced. But it sure does look nice and sound good bud! I raced an sti in my '94 from 60-140 and only beat him by ruffly 3 cars or so. So those four cylinders are pretty respectable in they're import world. But good video guys, keep it up! ...take care!

I own an 88 C4 and a modified Subaru WRX. The WRX is a fun, fast and squirty drive. The vette is just pure class. But I just love both of them. It's great to see them head to head.

The C4 corvette is hated, but i still think they are the best value for money. C3 is like driving an old old car, C5 still cost too much. C4 is sex on 4 wheels. (Probably just my childhood speaking out)

WRX is fun but is still just a shopping cart. (But I hope to never sell)

@samuelbeltman Do you have any issues with your Vette, like electronics or anything? My 1990 has electrical issues and EGR and injectors and even a fuel tank/pump suction issue. The whole tank caved in one day and had to replace the whole tank and sending unit.

@jmob92 i think it is the blow- off valve:Blowoff valves relieve the damaging effects of compressor "surge loading" by allowing the compressed air to vent to atmosphere, making a distinct hissing sound, or recirculated into the intake upstream of the compressor inlet.

it looks absolutely gorgeous in 2010 while the Impreza looks like an old hopped up Toyota corolla. I see no beauty at all. By the way I smoke the shit out of the 300hp WRXs as I'm sure you do as well. Quick little bastards off the line but from a role on it's no competition.

@bighunt08 just be glad you dont have a mid 1970's to late 1970' s Corvette. Im a vette lover and own a few but the EPA plus the gas situation dropped horsepower to around 180hp or less. That is embarrassing. THink the worst years was 1976-1977. unbelievable.

It has all the torque you could need with a 3 speed auto but I'll be damned if that car could break 120 mph!.. At 80k miles he stopped driving it and now it's sitting in the shop getting the crate motor and works touch... It'll be pushing 400horses when it's done but I doubt it'll be a monster if he tries to reuse that damn 3-speed hydromatic auto trans..

@bighunt08 They didn't give it more power because people can't handle that much power in such a light weight car. Now all the new "sports cars" cars way a shit ton and have traction control that dog the engine down probably lower than this corvette. 400rwhp cars are just too much for the everyday person (not a real driver)... But thats why they sell after market performance parts. For the real sports car drivers :)

Two good cars... If the Corvette really only has just an exhaust mod than it is running no more than 275 horses at best thanks to age... I'd say the Vette did pretty good considering it was probably the one with the least horsepower... Oh and it does that without a turbo!...

not bad for that 87 corvette which made about 245 horsepower stock out of the tuned port injected 5.7. They were better then the cross fire system they used in 84! I'm not taking anything away from the subaru either that impreza was bad ass!

The 87 has 240hp and 345 lbs torque. The latter making the L98 a kick to drive.
