  • This silly video proves nothing, clearly ider1977 doesnt know much about offroading. Next time i'll get a sand buggy and beat both and it doesnt mean is a better vehicle. And btw Rubicon is more capable off roading than FJ

  • i love both cars... Wrangler (TJ) owner myself, and I can honestly say that even if the FJ was a better vehicle I would still keep my TJ. To me it has looks, tons and tons of aftermarket parts, repair cost is lower and you can work on it like a project, putting parts every now and then til you finish with a whole different car.

    Bottom line... discussing Jeep vs. Toyota sound gay to me...

  • i love it how fj's are always compared to rubicons. apparently the regular wrangler, which is achually in the fj's price range, is always overlooked. ill take my fj over both, as good off road and achually has power ;)

  • FJ over Jeep anyday. I can do lots of stuff in my FJ that I can in my dad's 2008 Wrangler. My dad always wishes he would've gotten the FJ instead.

  • the jeep is a semi better all around offroader. but thr fj is extremely close to it offroad. but the fj is a way better on road ride, is a hell of a lot faster. and nicer quality. id rather drive an fj

  • This is so lame. FJ has a lot more HP than the Jeep. Just like drag racing, straight line HP wins out. Try driving on real rocky trails and see who come out on top. In the end, it's the driver that counts.

  • @pilatus5000 But you have to pay for a locker up front on a Jeep. It ain't a freebee. You do know that front lockers for FJ's exist right? Admittedly though, a locker on an IFS requires a little more brains or tie rods/CV joints can snap. Even though a solid axle can handle stresses a locker creates much better, things can and do fail. I wish my FJ came with a solid axle so I can rip thru mud like you could. I got 3 more years of payments and a solid axle is on my wishlist.

    Neither driver here is any good. Second that Rubicon looks 100% stock and is in dire need of a skilled driver and "Slightly" wider and all around bigger tires. Also they should let about 10 pounds of air pressure out of the rear and 5 out of the front to climb that.

  • A longer wheel base is superior in hill climbs. FJ come with a V6. The Jeep can have a 4 cyl. or a 6 cyl. It takes torque and horse power in sand as well as the right tire. Both are great off road vehicles.

  • u think i have to mod my jeep, i mod my jeep to make it more fun, i also have a stock yj that i wheel with all the time. in your fj you need to worry about all of your girly electronic shit getting broken. in my yj and tj i can taake them anywhere get them as dirty as i want and they have never broken down, the only time my jeep is in the shop is when i am installing stuff, and im never in the shop because of probelems, every time i do hard wheeling with fj, i havwe to pull them out.     My offroard truck ia Mercedes G with coils all around and locks in both axles and tcase with 2" lift not a jeep.

    Land crusier es una rama de Toyota que fabrica vehiculos para offroad y estan mas reforzados que los regulares toyotas. No vendieron el FJ como landcrusier porque no tiene las especificaciones minimas para ser LC. no tan resistente como un LC.

    I have a G wagen with fron and rear locks and I have eaten FJs for breakfast. The only difference between my G and the Jeep is that I can engage my locks at any speed. and articulation in the rubicon is better. comarable to rubicon would be landcrusier with locks

    the FJ has IFS and lock in the rear axle.

  • el rubicon en mejor. es mas resistente y tiene "skid plates" aparte de los candados adelante y atras y los quick disconnects.

    no me acuerdo pero creo que la reductora del rubicon es mejor que la de los wranglers
