adobe offers a free 30 day photoshop trial

you could also use gimp or project dogwaffle but you need to send it as a photoshop file so your gonna have to figure that out yourself

I use one of these tablets in my creative design class they are pretty nice when you get the hang of em. Not much use outside of editing or deisgn though

the tablet isn't really worth using for general browsing, its mostly novelty fun for that. however when it gets to photoshop, flash, vga, c4d, any art program it really shines and is unbelievably useful. I'd recommend any artist gets one, serious or not, as its incredibly useful. If you don't win this competition and cant afford a new bamboo, the old bamboo fun (with just the pen functionality) still works great for art stuff and you can get it on ebay for quite a bit cheaper.

Upside - looks cool.

I didn't win but, damn he did a good job. Only using very few colors. Not overly complicated. Great use of lighting. It has a simple look yet, it is very deep. I notice that he used random background colors like me and many others. It really is the perfect balance of simplicity and complexity. It was fun though. I'm gonna download his file anyway, just to see what he did! Good luck with the writing everyone! And good luck Blunty in the judging....it's gonna be tough.
