There has been cases of people paying lessons and singing for years and they just don't have the voice. I think is worth it someone has the courage to tell them "really, do something else" :)

oh and just to be sure everybody understands me, i think he was nice for doing what he did- paying off that family's mortgage bc they were in need....i think that is great considering how well off he is compared to most,....but that still doesnt make it right for him to be so rude with his commentary on certain shows...you can make your point very clear without being an ass

Not really, because he was like this right off the bat, and the producers actually told him off at first cause they thought it'd be a bad idea. But Simon said he couldnt lie to them and pretend they're nice when they really werent. Turned out it worked in his favor though anyway
