  • Trent: "Hey Jane, hey Da- woah!"

  • Damn Viacom. I can't watch the third part :(

  • 4:29 beck.

  • Trent: "that's my car -.-"

  • You can't go around accusing someone of being racist before you've even given them a chance to speak though, sorry but that was very wrong of Jodi and very hyporcritical, isn't racism all about stereotyping someone because if skin colour? She thought that because the first guy came off as racist, the next white guy would. She is doing the exact same thing and yet most people here are defending her.

  • It was pretty ridiculous when Jody called Daria a racist though. Jody's smart but what she did really was hypocritical.

  • I said this in Jane's addition and I'll say it here. The thing about Daria is, she can be smart, straightforward yes... but she's such a bummer sometimes, everytime Jane has an admirer (See Jane run, Daria dance party...)Daria gives her a look like she's going to hell. When Daria gets an admirer(The new kid)Jane supports her,the same thing with Daria's crush on Jane's brother Trent.

Jane's anti-mainstream too,I'd rather hang around with her than be bummed with a closed minded person like Daria.

  • Why is daria's mum always eavesdropping on her conversations

  • "Hay Jain hay... wow!"

    lol

  • Jody is a smart girl. Do not underestimate her Daria. LOL!

  • OMBH!! At the end the song was Come Original by 311 :D!!!!

  • i hate you so much right now AHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • lmao at ghost hookers

  • BECK!

  • Hahaha!! I love Trent's reaction at 4:00

  • Approach a business decision as adults? That's easy once you realize moral issues like integrity/hypocrisy are only for idealist teenagers who have not figured out how the world really works. (Read that in the context of Daria's show, with the sardonic wit, not as something I would normally say or believe)

  • Of course Jodi is gonna change her approach. she didnt wanna go thru the same racist attitude again and she wanted to complete the project, although she did ASSUME that the 2nd guy wud have the same racist attitude. but she didnt give him the chance so its understandable that Daria wud be confused. But clearly she's not African-American and doesnt have our history or experiences living in a predominantly white world trying to succeed in life

  • GHOST HOOKERS IN THE SKY LMAO!

  • awh trent I thought you were better than that! >.<

    "Hey Janey... Hey Da- WOAAAAAAAAA!"

    what a guy -.-

    XD

  • Janes voice is fucked.

  • @CathePets I just noticed it changed from her first appearance.

  • You know Trent's ass smokes so much weed, lol.

  • what the song at 0:02??

  • @vjmartinez88 Kelis-I hate you so much right now

  • @xXDATWiNDYCiTYDYMEXx you mean kelis- caught out there

  • @vjmartinez88 its Kelis. I Hate u so much right now

  • @johnathandoe Thanks.......but now i don't have limewire any more awww.

  • daria was right jody was a hypocrite. i would inderstand jody using her father's name after 4 or 5 tries, but it happens once and she folds? not cool. she didnt have to actually be able to secure a loan, she just had to try. if they were turned down she could explain about what happens when a bank comes across a "high risk candidate for a loan." thats real world too.

  • @kiddadd ...How much racism do you or have you experience(d) in your life?

If the answer is 'none' or something to that effect, then you don't know what you're talking about. Yes, Jodie may have been hypocritical, but Daria (Or any other white person, for that matter, no matter how racist they claim they aren't) isn't and will never be an arbiter on how to overcome racism that her people have and continue to inflict(ed) on blacks. Like Jodie said, she was being practical/reacting to racism.

  • @Entropy161

It's funny that people continue to bring up the whole racism card of whites on blacks, or on any race for that matter. I'm of mixed races between white and hispanic and went to a predominantly hispanic school between 3rd and 8th grade. Not only did I get treated as an outsider, but I was personally blamed and harassed by other students for their financial situation, even though quite a few of them lived in a higher standard of living.

  • @numba1fattboy2k Hispanic isn't a race.

  • @Entropy161

So basically, instead of the token black guy at school, I was the token white guy. I understand that for the purposes of this cartoon, it puts Jodi in a similar situation, but never say that you're exclusively the member of a race that experiences racism. It's sad to say that as adults, we actually have to base our approach to things such as loans based on such trivial things as race.

  • @numba1fattboy2k ...Nice anecdote, but I suggest you don't make groundless ASSumptions about people you don't know (i.e. I never said that blacks were the only race that experiences racism).

On another note, I agree with what you were saying about not approaching things due to race. The problem is that not only America, but Western Civilization as a whole is based on this very concept...

  • Hey Janey, whoaaaaa..

  • ahhh 311...this show always had the best music in it.

  • i don't blame Jodie for name dropping, fighting the race battle gets annoying, and if you can avoid it, then why fight it? I can see why she wouldn't take the loan after the first guy started sucking up, she didn't want to reward his racism. And with the second one, it was just easier to assume and avoid than to go through it all again and again.

  • @searchanddiscover exactly.......

  • Comment removed

  • @searchanddiscover That's a very valid point. But what does that make Jodie?

  • I like Jodi she stands up for what she beleives in and she doesen't let anybody change her mind

  • This episode is mad crazy.

  • "Don't tell me what's ethical and what's not, I approached it like a smart business person."

    Hmm something doesn't add up.

  • Back when they showed this on "The N," they cut out Wally the car salesman. lol

  • hahahah Trent's reaction! "Hey Janey, hey Da-wooooahhh!!!!!"

    HAHAHA

  • héj jéni héj da woaaah

  • OneTwoThree12342, I agree that Jodie was hypocritcal when she got a loan, but she probably was convinced that if she didn't use her father's name on the loan, the second banker would ignore her in favor of Daria because she was white and Jodie was black. Don't forget, African Americans have experienced a lot more prejudice.

    Belle Book

  • LOL!!!! - Trent's reaction at 4:00 - made me laugh so hard!

  • Wow a lot of things wrong in this episode lol...

A car salesman trying to swindle 2 teens into a 20 thousand dollar car with a 10 thousand dollar budget like as if they can afford it. Another car salesman hitting on a dimwitted good looking teen possibly 30 years younger then him, and Jodie becoming hypocritical to get a loan & I feel Daria was right on this 1, there's no point in the project if she uses her father's name to get it.

  • That car salesman had balls, openly hitting on a teenage girl like that.

  • lmfao @ "Hey JA--WOOOAAH!!!"

  • haha trents face Woah

  • "hey janey, hey da.... WHOA"

  • Jodi's point is kind of unethical, if the first guy was going to give her a loan because of who her father was why didn't she just take it? She used her father as a crutch for the second bank loan opportunity! I guess im just not understanding "/

  • @gigglytoot92 also i dont think he didnt ask about jodis dad cause she was black i think he just knew who darias dad was already and didnt know jodis

  • @gigglytoot92 no you are right.

  • I'm sorry but Jodie was wrong and Daria was right. If it bottered her so much that the 1st guy only gave her a loan because of her father, she should have omitted his name with the 2nd guy. If they were doing a social experiment, she have voided the entire project.

  • The artists for this show must like drawing Dodge Vipers: ) I love how most of the cars are recognisible in this show. It's a nice touch.

  • ghost hookers in heaven? HAHA! I think thats my favorite SSW segment

  • So who was right here, Daria or Jodie? I think Daria made a better point.

  • When sexy ass Trent said "Whoa" was that a horrified whoa or an oh baby-whoa? Didn't think he was interested in girls like that.

  • @amazingnothingness He was horrified and shocked that a cheerleader was in Jane's room.

  • @KoolaidMolestors ...I too think Trent's reaction was because the size of Brittany's breasts...it's seems to be an "inside joke/reference" throughout the series...

  • @ Koolaid and BlythZephyr

Also, I think Trent's reaction really stems from the fact that he was expecting to see Daria and saw Brittany instead. I mean, visually speaking, if you're expecting Daria and Brittany comes along, a "whoa" seems warranted, lol - particularly if you consider Brittany's breasts.

  • @Nakabe125 I completely agree...well put :-)

  • Poor Jodi...she's like a white black person anyway and so is her boyfriend. That is messed up. Discrimination and racism at its best.

  • Why is it that every episode Jodie is in references her race? :p

  • watch a couple eps with her parents in them...you'll pick it up pretty quick. Plus she and Mac are the only black students in the school.

  • Oh, I know. It just bugs me.

  • mrs malcom X. wow

  • "Daria is the inside person, and I'm the outside person"

    "Wise decision"

  • 6:37 beautiful disaster by 311?

  • I think that's "Come Original" by 311, ginjen3000.

  • trent gots a boner lol

  • ROFL @ 4:01 !

    I love Trent. XD

  • @dudesrockify oh my god i know hahahaaa trent :) subtle as alwaysss

  • Here is the pinch: Jane has no friends other than Daria. Daria has no friends other than Jane. Their mutual reliance made them aloof to the social environment they are critical of. Now with Tom entering the picture Jane can find a way out of the two-person Daria island, and out into the broad world they spent so much time Criticizing and objectifying. Daria naturally feels not only betrayed by this, but also very scared. If Jane leaves her, she's all alone.

  • Very nicely done. Was that a response to someone?

  • this is a very astute observation.

  • @chenalos its a cartoon don't think about it too hard, and it ended years ago

  • @rejectzombie

    Haters gonna hate.

  • I feel bad for Jane at the beginning of this video. I know how it feels to be ignored like that.

  • "no pun intended"

    "none taken"

    bahaha so clever

  • I love all the Sick Sad World commercials. The car salesman is such a creeper!

  • d..... hoooooo lol XD

  • o i feel for u black girl i feel for u

  • LMAO! "Hey Janey ...Hey D.WHOOOOAAA!"

  • lol

  • totally fucking funny!

  • @sazzrhilee LOL!! YEA!

  • @sazzrhilee Trent is my hero XD
