  • @truss601 rofl xD thatswhy they lost.. twice....

  • @helldemon618

You don't get it, it was almost entirely Hitlers decisions that lost the war for Germany, but they had an excellent military.

It wasn't his men that lost the war, it was himself!

  • @helldemon618 Rofl you are just too hilarious you English sack of shit why don't you try throwing yourself into a war against more than a couple of countries.......while attached to mainland Europa you island loving twat fuck? Go fail to put down a rebellion or lose all of you colonial possessions.......o wait....ouch you faggot. When are you dumbass Brits going to learn your pathetic? Did you ever hold possessions in mainland Europa? Wow what a failure of an Empire

  • @vanbismark im not english :)

nice try though... stupid german fuck xD im european just like you

  • @vanbismark well that empire lasted longer then the Third Reich :p

  • @nick21sammy Third Reich still reverberates today - Israel's father, Herr Hitler, couldn't have imagined what was going to happen in the Middle East (read about the Transfer Agreemnent). America used the war to become the pre-eminent world's power, financed by the Poms, who are a sixth rate nation today. Today we have extreme political correctness and if you keep at it you are a Nazi.

  • i dont know german but i like to learn about it so if you can give me hits about the video till me please

  • The song is actually sung in Low German, which is why its a little hard for me to understand.

  • @GermanConquistador08

    I understand this one, and I'm a Dutch-speaker ;)

  • it talks about california and sacramento!lol. fur der Vaterland!

  • ICH SCHLAGEN MIEN WURST TO DAS SONGEN JAH!

  • Us french people forgive the germans for conquering our land. Its just that our weapons and planes were not up to date, we relied too much on the Maginot Line which we believed was unpassable, and we thought this would a repeat of the first world war, so we started digging trenches. Nevertheless, the germans did have a very powerful military force

  • @anonemusify What a shit do you have to forgive to Germany, you bigot asshole???? You have been the ones through history who attacked and declared constantly war to Germany. The only single military campaign that succeeded against Germany was the one your big asshole Napoleon started and you paid severely your fault. Since then, you have always fought under the skirt of your british masters, as you have never been able to defeat Germany by your own

  • Some people Call the Allied soldiers the Greatest generation. Thats crap. The Germans who fought as Nazis were the times greatest generation. The allied soldiers, well Iam American and I do have respect for the US soldiers, but lets face it they were shooting at the wrong people.

  • @wulfshelmut Could not agree more.

  • @wulfshelmut totaly agree with. hate those people who thinks only america can be the best, there so stubbern and stupid.I am american so i respect the us troops to and my brothers are in military

  • yes the nazies where powerful but i do not and will not agree with thier politics

  • The Third Riech was the best is the world! Their military was the best, their politics: not something i would ever agree on. EVER.

  • @AssualtgruppeVeir why???

  • @fadyb56 He served with one of the last imperial armies.

  • @BobCrane787 what?

  • @AssualtgruppeVeir Agreed

  • its not a war song and its NOT A GERMAN song its an sailer song international

  • veermaster" was actually a cargo ship it was never ever a ship of war and the name of the "hamborger veermaster" is "Pisagua" mastered by capt C E F J Bahlke (1893-1901) after witch it had a few more captains and was sold in 1912 to Søren L. Christensen when the ship stranded on 12 February 1913 at Low Island, South Shetland Islands, on voyage from Leith to Deception Island for whale catching.

  • the german army was seconded only to the american army they had all of europe on it's knees

  • Are you out of your mind? The Germans were the best army, airforce, in the world. The navies uboats caused many problems for the allies. The Germans were #1 followed by the US army.

  • Whatever helps you face yourself in the mirror, pal.

  • @wulfshelmut You're right, the allies had to rely on overwhelming manpower and matériel to beat the German Army.

  • @wulfshelmut I have to agree with that! Their politics: not something I would agree on though.

  • @wulfshelmut I do agree with you on the German army having been number one - in the beginning and through the middle of the war. The Americans were not even a close second. They won, yes, because they could mass produce their war materials without being interrupted. I was there and I saw it. They didn't risk their soldiers because they had so much equipment that they could afford to act like an elephant stepping on a mouse. The Russians had an excellent army, much better than the Americans

  • @wulfshelmut well not sure but germany DID give the allies a very hard time but if you look at their weapons the germans didn't even have a proper fully equipped armed forces(bombers, heavy bombers, battleships, aircraft carrier, etc)so they ARE the best even though they lost sine the odds weren't even

  • @generalassassin54321 Perhaps they weren't bent on taking over the world like the Anglos keep on telling us - they were. Instead of building a nice heavy bomber that could bounce England he built Autobahns (they are still used today) and other things. There is a lot of info that is twisted and fed to a gullible sheople. Pity Germany is still an occupied country...

  • @wulfshelmut No, the Russians were. Hitler attacking Russia was one of the biggest botches in military history.

  • @mrgermanblonde dude russia and germany were actully the super powers of ww2. America barley did shit!!!!!!!!! in ww2. i should know because i wast my life learning ww2 stuff and medieval stuff.even in medieval ages germany was like number 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • imagine the power that these 2 countries would create RUSSIA AND GERMANY

NO ONE would be able defeat them

  • @ellin25 man and we would be able to fuck those damn americans for once... !!

  • @11iiiooo

    agree

  • even if i am american the germans were a great army

  • this makes me feel good hail to the fatherland

  • @TheSirRoberto WTF do you say this has nothing to do with the fatherland its just a Niederdeutsches song about sacramento

  • I love this. It makes me get out of my chair and sing along!!

  • my great grandfather was a Lietenant ww2

  • sounds like dutch, not german.. it's definitely not proper nordrheinwestfalenian german

  • of course not..

Its called "Hamburger Veermaster" which describes a ship from hamburg with four masts.

So it is northern germanys dialekt.

  • My grandfather was a tank driver for germany during WW2! Deutschland ueber alles! ;)

  • @Deutschlandelena26 hey was he in the 503d hevay paz div? if he was he may have known my uncale feborwebl kurt knispel i think its spellt

  • So pleased to know someone that is still with us

  • I served with a Panzer division in WW 2 and remember the song "Als die gold'ne Abendsonne" and "Fern bei Sedan". Have you heard of them?

  • I'm familar with "Als Die Gold'ne Abendsohne" but I don't think That I ever heard "Fern bei Sedan"

  • I salute you sir!

  • +1 to you for your service.

    Gott mitt Uns from Norway

  • Ehre und Ruhm Dir, Du stolzer Kaempfer.

    Ich respektiere Dich!!!

  • God bless your service.

  • @Bernie1927 Wo und wann?

  • @Bernie1927 you can tell by my age that I was only 17 at the time. Go back to my early videos and you will find a couple of them on those years.

  • @Bernie1927

If You Have Really Served It Is a Honor To Talk To You.

  • @Bernie1927 Nein es tut mir Leid, das kenne ich nicht, ich werde's gleich suchen.

    Sind Sie Deutsch?

  • @maitimu As I already mentioned to Afghancommando: Look at my old videos

    Look under my handle "bernie1927"

and you will understand that I left Germany in 1951, so, you could say I am German, at least for the first 23 years of my life.

  • @Bernie1927 Hey, I want to ask you a question, everybody says Germany treated China well in WWII. They punished all the country help Jews, except China. And support them all of the money to join in Olympic games in German.

My question is: were all the people in Germany supporting China, or Hitler himself like Chinese? What about their attitude to Japan?

    Can you remember what happened?

  • @wangtianba Sorry, my friend. I do not recall anything about China at the time. Yes, the Japanese were our allies but, considering Hitlers nutty racial policy, I believe it was more a marriage of convenience than love.

  • @Bernie1927 All right, thank you really. I got your meaning. I just wonder if it was a national thing.

By the way, Hitler was treated well and helped a lot by a Chinese couple, which even helped him to college.

So I believe now only himself truly like Chinese. Germany sent a lot of weapons and equipments to China for anti-japanese. We appreciate it even now.

But thank you, my dear friend.

  • @wangtianba japs still don't admit war guilt then. you had better be very afraid of the inferior chinese. bullshitido. japanese coward warrior code YOU SURRENDERED.

  • @Bernie1927 if u served with the panzers, then all i have to say is $cr*w you...

  • @danielpavlotsky Well, my friend(?) Where were you when you were 17? Nobody drafted you and instead, you were able do raise Cain in your school, right? Believe me, I wasn't that crazy about getting shot either, but what could I do? Thank your stars that you didn't have to make that choice at age 17. And show a little understanding and save your expletives for someone more deserving. Please!

  • @danielpavlotsky Whats the probelm? He served his country like any other soldiers in any war.

  • @danielpavlotsky i'm with ya mate ;)

  • @helldemon618 OY! gotta love tha british!

  • @danielpavlotsky howd ya know i love the british :O

  • @helldemon618 anyone that calls me mate has to

  • @danielpavlotsky

    You have some serious issues.

  • @Bernie1927 and I bet the uneducated call you a Nazi for it?....When will people realise that the ordinary German soldier Airman or Naval personel were simply doing their job. A job they had sworn an oath to do. My Uncle was in 9 para C Company and was dropped behind the Merville Gun Battery on 5th/6th june 1944. By the time he reached as far into germany as he was going he had learnt the difference between a Nazi and an ordinary german soldier. He had as much respect for them as they for him

  • @andrewgatward1 The leaders were also only doing their job - epic fail, look at what a mess the world is in...

  • @Bernie1927 Thank you for your service to the fatherland, you a hero to every German.

  • @Bernie1927 And sadly no, those two escape me. I have heard many German war songs.

  • even though i don't understand a word - this is one groovy tune

  • Nice Work Thanks!

  • germans roll

  • Ich glaube, daß im deutschem Reich kaum auf englisch gesungen wurde. Dies ist ein Volkslied wie jedes andere auch! Hört auf alles ins rechte Eck zu stellen.

  • german is the best language to speak

  • Die Deutsche sprache schmeckt besser als English. Nicht Wahr?

  • Low-German (plattdeutsch) is even better and closer to English and Dutch than the Standard (Middle/High-) German.

  • Play this through your xbox live headset to annoy people

  • This song has nothing to do with national socialism. The working people on the docks and ships in and out of Hamburg were more communist, as working men of the time were, if anything. Still though, this song is completely a-political. I'm glad i found it here, but saddened by this contrived connection.

  • My mom was a young woman living in German-occupied Italy. Even though she suffered through allied bombings and German "boot-kicks", she still loved to hear the German soldiers singing...she even knew some of the songs, spoke fluent German and sang some lines to me...LOL

  • so ur part german ?u know there could be a chance!lol

  • LAUF! LAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUF!!!

  • Un wull'n wi mal seil'n ik segg dat jo nur,

(And will we sail'n I say that you just.)

Denn lööp he dreevörut un veer wedder retur,

  • Dat logis weer vull wanzen, de kombГјs weer vull dreck,

(That were the shit... their shinestness pleasure)

Dat deck weer von isen, vull schiet un vull smeer,

(The deck were of (isen) full shit and full pitch)

  • No idea what the Germans are singing about, Hitler is dead and burning in the fires of racist hell.

Correct me if i am wrong but didn't Germany lose the war, and get there asses kicked by the UK & USA.

And is it true that Hitler only had one testicle (just curious)

  • Yes, it is true that Hitler had just one testicle. Yes, Germany lost the war. I believe that the last BundesPrasident said."Make no mistake about it, our freedom began the day that we lost the war." Germany a little larger than California, was defeated by the USSR,(6 time zones),USA (4 time zones) , the British Empire on which the sun never set. Even Mexico declared war on Germany and other countries as well.

  • When I consider the tens of thousands American graves in Europe, the use of the term "get their asses kicked" seemds childish. This is not a military march and has nothing to do with war. If you had taken the trouble to read other peoples comments you would have known this. In your comment you come across as a "spoiled juvenile".

  • @LonelyAsACloudUK

How about USSR, you green fatty?

The war is over long ago.

    Shut up.

  • Don't know who compiled these "German warsongs" - but he/she does not have a clue.

    For instance Wikipedia:

´De Hamborger Veermaster´ is a famous sea shanty sung in Low German. It was written in 1849 and is partly in English and partly in Low German. It was and is still sometimes, in particular in Northern Germany, the historical geographical distribution of Low German, sung as a work song. This song is normally sung when sails are set and therefore it hardly will be heard in rural areas.

  • It doesn't matter, the songs are still good

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!! :D Or...Ich Leibe this leid...Is that right? lol :p Sorry, I'm still learning, but anyways, great song! And...I do believe in SOME things that Hitler did. I didn't like him punishing all those african americans and gay people, though. And he should have let the Juden re-think their ways and join him :) He'd have more friends :)

  • he DID NOT punish african AMERICANS haha.. :D:D there werent that many of them in GERMANY at that time.. hmm.. i guess theyve been in the US^^ :D:D and it wasnt right... it would be "Ich liebe dieses Lied"

    AND

THIS IS NOT A MILITARY SONG

and its not even sung in German.. :D THIS is LOW German.. its a whole different language with its own vocabulary and grammar.^^

its almost like a mix of english, german and dutch :D:D

  • Is plattdeutsch the same as "Okie" or "Arkie" english?

  • well not really"Okie"and"Arkie" are both dialects i think and Plattdeutsch is not.its pretty much its own language. Its too far off from Standard German.its like a regional language spoken mainly in northern Germany and the eastern part of the Netherlands

Most germans barely understand it if they even do just to show an example:Do you see the difference between"muksch"and"eingeschnappt" :D Its the same word.. the first one is Plattdeutsch (or Low German) and the second one is Standard German. :D

  • Did you know that English is a mix of Platt(-Düütsch)/Lower Saxon, Frisian and some Jutish and Celtic.

The English are mostly Saxon and so are the Lower Saxons in Hamburg. Try to translate this song into English, it's very easy.

  • Thanks for the translations. I was aware that the English language was a branch of the Germanic languages, but I never knew until now the exact lineage.

  • Hitler was a nice person :) he killed some ppl, so what? everyone gets a little temperamental sometimes :p

  • Joseph Stalin (Dugashvieli) said,"You can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs". I think that he was reffering to the mass starvation of the so-called "Kulaks".

  • In his book , "The Good War", Studs Terkel recounts the story of man, whose mother was German and his father was Senegalese, similar to the racial makeup of our President Barak Obama. As a youth the only racism he encountered in the third reich was that he was not allowed to join the "Hiler Youth" much to his disappointment. I believe a requirement to join the "Hiler Youth", one must be "Ayerischer Deutsch".

  • it is a shanty song and yes the german sailors sing it aswell like on the gorch fock and they learn it atr some schools

  • its not a military song, fucking yank.

  • I did not say military song, I said military beat or marching beat.

  • this definetely not a nazi song...

  • It's a sailor's song, not a military song!

  • its a fucking great Hamburger song where i am from and i was singing this song in school just like my grandpa and my dad and my little brother and my children will do!!!

  • Hamburg friggin' rocks. I can't agree to the Nazi connotations of the song, though.

  • (as displayed in that vids pic, that is)

  • What NAZI connotations are you talking about. If its "Blow boys blow", that went out the window when Ernst Roehm was killed. Hitler became anti-homosexual. If its the part about going to California to mine the gold, that started even before 1849. I think that perhaps you see a NAZI connotation where none exists.

  • "As displayed in that pic, that is" (well you could argue about that, too). But I understand the lyrics. Natively.

  • Are you saying the you see the soldiers in the pitcures as NAZIs instead of Germans?

  • By the way.. There is song starting around 1:50 that has nothing to do with the Hamborger Veermaster...

  • I believe the song at 1:50 is "Matrosen auf See". I still do not know what NAZI connotations that you are talking about.

  • Yes, I can see that.

  • When I was discharged out of the U.S. Navy, I could not complete a sentence without using the "Fornication Under Consent of King" (F.U.C.K.) adjective before every noun. Now, 36 years later, I no longer use that adjective. There is hope for you yet. I love this song too.

  • esteis locos! you must be crazy!! its culture from hamburg. Arg show my the nazi flag in white blue white!?!

  • Its not a military song. This interpretation sounds like it,but it isnt.

  • I have no problem with a military beat, It easier to sing along. Compare the military version of "Schlieserlied" with the ballad, or volk song versions. "Schlieserlied" is very moving in any style.

  • 5***** Kameraden! Besten Grüsse aus Ungarn!

  • This song is very nice, ja? :) I love this song so much and listen to it most time :) I am no good at German, but I speak a bit.

Ich liebe this song! :p :D

  • We sing the Song in the School xD

  • 5*****

    Thanks

  • ist auch kein marschlied. sondern ein normales seemannslied :-)

  • wusste garnicht, dass das ein marschlied is

  • Mit nem Akkordeon würde das viel schöner sein, trotzdem schöne Version!

  • I search for the military nazi song played in the beginning of Schindler´s list

  • int it hamburg not hamBORG? we are da hamBORG you will be assimilated, resistance is futile!

  • no it´s hmborger... it´s "Plattdeutsch"

  • das ied hat nichts mit krieg zu tun! das ist ein shanty aus der zeit des godrausches zumindest der teil der hier auf platt ist! der zweite teil hat nn wirklich nichts mehr mit dem veermaster zu tun!

  • But it is very useful for that purpose, and honestly, it sounds great in that rendition. It would be a very nice March.

Echt coole Fassung, muss man sagen. Gefällt mir sehr!

  • This song has absolutely NOTHING to do with with the military, the Nazis or war. It's a shanty!

  • Ja, Liebe this song sehr, ja! :) Liebe it :)
