@Ramonzin999 ..If you're not a 'Doors' fan;you don't know 'the blues'..if you don't get 'the blues'..you don't get 'rock'..if you don't get either?? You're in the wrong century or on the wrong planet...But ; if you get these two..??.. ..you get music and great music too;like with The Doors..and a great artist like logophile..So! if you understand all what I've said..WELCOME!!!...But,if not? Goodbye! You're bus is leaving!!
You did a very good cover on the song. I commend you on multitracking, Its a bitch to do I play 7 instruments ,and I wish I could stick some you know where to play. I can't get any musicians together, or the ones I know are dead I'm 65 and still playing the Doors songs on Keyboard and guitar. Great job Dude
Tremendous piece! Which program do you use to coordinate your pieces? Would you list the chords you used? The uke is so versatile when played by somebody with a love of music!
Glad you liked it. On this one I used Audacity (free program) to record the audio which I mixed down and imported into Premiere to edit it together with all the video parts.
that was brilliant! i was actually searching for melodicas, and then i saw this, which had the doors and a ukulele in it as well! 2 of my favourite things
Thanks you for explaining. I had never heard of that song which I just listened to for the first time. Perhaps the most obnoxious song of all time? Sorry if that offends anyone....
It's a D9. After listening to the original again, I am not sure I was playing it exactly correctly, but you basically want play a D whle alternate adding three notes: E (the 9th), F# (a straight D chord), and G (the fourth).
A lot! Sounds Great, and i'm doing it more "agressive", like that ukeleles doing it (not an arpegio like i was doing it before) but it gets difficult to sing it as i play it Jeje and gets difficult write(as speak) in english !
Great version, and what if the drum(or bongo?) appears (use it?) more? Maybe a base, Sounds nice
Of course this is a common misconception, but technically it is not true. The Doors made use of an actual bass player on every album except the first one. Each album had a different bass player. The bassist for the L.A. Woman album was Jerry Scheff, who played bass on this song. Legend has it that the band liked Jerry's playing on the album so much that they asked him to join the band, but Jim died before it was official.
Hi, thank you for you kind words, everyone! It took me about three days to shoot and edit everything. This was my first such video, I think I am getting a little quicker at them. I finished my third one a few days ago, took about half the time, granted the newest song (Wintertime Love) is shorter and had one less part, but I did have to learn it from scratch whereas this one came to me pretty quickly. Thanks again, everyone, it makes the effort(s) worth it!

After watching this I decided to look for the original...and I like yours more.
Couple of questions...is your Uke mic'ed up or has it got a pick up? And also is your Melodica mic'd up or did you record that some other way?
Cheers for this video :D

I am glad you like the vid. Thank you! My uke has a active pickup. It's called a FlukElectric. Never seen anyone else play one...
My melodica is mic'd using the same mic a recorded my vocals with. Thanks again.
