how much time do sere instructors stay away from home? how does it affect family life? i'm in the dep and i might book that job this month.

@MOFIA777 you can't be a SERE instructor until you are something like E5 or above and are up for shore duty or special duty, though I think it might count as sea duty since you are in the field.
