  • you're an animal. great work.

  • sometimes, the thing that ruins music the most......is lyrics.

  • I've listened to a bunch of your vid's... what an inspiration for those of us just wanting to get a little self expressive and come up with something pleasing to the ear. A harp (harmonica) player all my life..never the patience to master guitar, keyboards, or much else..got the trumpet down though. Just dove into the Kaos series with a Kaossilator and KP3. Intuitive is all I can say..as good as this?..I'll keep working on it, maybe someday soon. Thanks for the inspiration and great music.

  • digging through youtube ran across this.

    fantastic!!

  • love it... was playin wth my freinds today... sounds dirty, but yea tons of fun

  • mas conocida

  • I am selling my fully functional KAOS Pad III at Ebay (europe, germany)

please look at german ebay if you want to buy one !!!

  • i prefer microkorg

  • how would I play with a kp3, kaossilator and a microkorg at the same time?

  • If I had one of these, I'd NEVER get anything done. EVER

  • @mefeetbecold I bought one a few weeks ago. I never get anything done.

  • minimalist techno

  • I'm thinking of buying the Kaossilator to go with my KP3, however I don't have ANY cables for them.. Can you tell me which ones I will need:

    1) To hook it to the KP3

    2) To connect it to my computer

  • whay are people still playing in standard mode on the Kaossilator with the kp3..... play in dLy mode 16 beats people....heres a lesson for you......

    1) hold down rec and tap button when turning on

    2) now push tap and rec as a shortcut to change rec length.

    3) now turn tempo to 75bpm

    4) Record something...you with have 32 beats on the Kaossilator. :D

  • @KaslarProductions Because you don't always need 16 beats. Here's a music theory lesson for you:

    More is not always better.

  • @kolby386 Believe me I know that..... I know my music.... just saying if someone didn't know that it is possible to get 32 on the kaossilator......

  • @KaslarProductions Your comment makes it sound like nobody should ever be using the Kaossilator in 8-beat mode, though. Besides, in the 16-beat mode, you lose some other features, like the ability to return to playing the initial full phrase after slicing the beat, as well as the ability to visually track which beat of the phrase you're on with the display, since it stops showing that readout during the recording mode. Recording space becomes very limited around 16 or 32 beats...

  • @kolby386

well I shouldn't have made it sound that way I meant only in conjunction with kp3 not kaossilator alone.... the reason being kp3 has 16 beat measure... you don't need the functionality on the Ko1 when its all on the kp3.... I play in standard mode all the time..... Is this really a big deal to you? I don't see what your getting at.....It about personal preference, not what everyone else plays in.... If you like it fine... If you don't fine.

  • sounds good for d n b music

  • sehr schöner Sound aus der kleinen Maschine ^^

  • reminds me of bomberman hero

  • Great. Just. Great. A++ 5/5~!

  • what genre would you call this???

  • maybe experimental?

  • ambient/chillout with a bit of progressive flavor

  • love all your vids Denkitribe

  • I am rec this song live for my own listing sounds good reminds me of the city at night with a hot girl out by the lake under the hot clear night sky with full moon and the moon light is reflecting off the water. ;) lol

  • i looooove it!

  • what scale were you in for those notes, you got a really nice sound going on there, i sat there tapping my foot and nodding my head all the way through

  • sounds like gang gang dance

  • to your question below about fruity loops: yes you can record sounds off these devices to fruity loops :P

  • can you hook the KP3, Kaosillator and mini k up to fruity loops?? i'm thinking of getting these but i wanna know if i can hook em up to FL, thanks

  • how do you play the audio input on a kp3? mine i cant hear anything unless i apply an effect

  • I'd guess you have the connection switch on the back set to "send" rather than "direct".

  • actually the other way around, but thank you! this was killing me

  • something like kraftwerk

  • what chords are playing starting at 0:25 ? ive been trying to figure it out for over a half an hour! :P

  • same here

  • This is awsome!

I got myself a Kaossilator and just getting the hang of it.

I dunno whether to get the Mini Kaoss Pad or it's bigger brother...

  • go for the bigger brother =) x

  • You're right! I've got a feeling that it'll come in handy for my live stuff =]

  • Definitely go KP3 if it's in the budget.

  • After I sort the flat out I'll be buying it. Thanx for the feedback =]

  • bigger brother has lots better effects, + loads more. I'm getting a kp3 this week. You get left out if you get a minikp.

  • Yeah I suppose. It would be nice to have both tho eh?

Will you upload a video with your kp3???

  • I'm buying one in a week. I'm skipping the mini and getting the big bro. And I know a lot of ppl that have all 3.

    (kaossilator-minikp-kp3)

I'll be sure to make a vid, trying to point out the things ppl say the mini cannot do.

  • Good idea =]

  • yeah, both would be nice, mini kp gives you nice controller over the kaossilator, in which you can can run them both throught the kp3

  • unbelievably awsome!!!

  • you're good :)

  • Beautiful.

  • of course there is no 'correct' way- but when holding it -the left hand can control buttons while right hand can improvise change sounds and flueuntly build up subttle patterns - specially with rythmic courses -so that seamless buildups don't seem contrived -i have mine coupled with a mini kp and it is an endless source of fascination !! but thats my personnal experiance only

  • at last ! someone holding it correctly {for right handers of course } sweet music mate-

  • theres a correct way to hold it i thought what felt right for one person was ok. but apprently not.

  • Amazing, I have to have both of these now.

  • denki, is this all improv?

  • your lead licks are weak, but the mixing is incredible

  • so funky !

  • nice!

  • fantastic:DDD

  • amazing bro

  • how do you connect both to the speakers...??

    please reply haha

  • only the kp3 is connected to the speakers. he is running the kaossilator on the input of the kp3

  • uhmm... WHAT? speak english xd

  • co to za reklamy sie tu pojawiają i zajmują puł ekranu koszmar niemożna normalnie obejżeć

  • that sound great man!!!

  • Wow. Incredible. You've really mastered the KP3-Kaossilator Kombo. Keep it krankin. Alright I'm sorry about all the Ks, but in all honesty, you laid down some really cool stuff.

  • Right On

  • Killer Komment.

  • thats called syncopation "In music, syncopation includes a variety of rhythms which are in some way unexpected in that they deviate from the strict succession of regularly spaced strong and weak beats"

  • brutal!

  • it takes skill if u wanna add loops and quantize it ect but im getting mine once i save up money ima do alot of chores lol

  • i dont understand! how does it work!? its just a black pad???

  • You're almost regular ILLITERATE.

  • dude, chill

  • i suppose you know exactly how the thing registers what sounds to play where you put your fingers? tell me that u child. obviously thats what i was asking you fucking youtube troll.

  • mate why don't you fuck off and come and speak to these people once your balls have dropped

  • hahaha

  • we are deeevoooooooo...

  • why is it that every 10-12 year old has to announce their age in a comment? seriously?

  • @zachy12341 because i'm 13

  • @zachy12341 yea right thats seriously the only time i see people mention their age. wtf

  • I want this KP3, I think that with electrobalalaika it will be wery beautiful

  • alas, if i had the money

  • do you play live? where are you from??

  • He's from Japan!

  • wild wild wild. luv it.

  • Gracias a este video me quiero comprar y me voy a comprar la kaossilator pero solo necesito saber donde la puedo conseguir en el D.F. o si alguien la tiene que me la pueda vender deje un comentario en mi canal

  • I would like to congratulate you...

    extremely good effort.

    keep up the good work

  • dang did really good people might say it doesn't take skill but it would take a lot. Great job!

  • Excellent performance of talent.

    DjM@NjOl

  • OMG man you have a natural feel for song structure. You're just muckin' about with this TOY and you make a whole SONG that has a start, middle, cadence and end. I'm standing here beside myself.. :P

  • I wouldn't really cal it a toy, its a toy in the hands of a novice sure but so is a guitar.

  • I was thoroughly impressed and entertained by this video! thank you.

  • esce una musica bellissima

  • sweet man thanks!

  • I have 2 Newmark ttx-1 turntables and a Rane 54i mixer. Can i plug the kp3 up to the turntables for effects?

  • anything that has rca's midi etc. so yup :)

  • Great music!! im really learning from this how to do shit on my Korg stuff

  • korg should pay you to use this as a demo on their website...

  • nice track and video ,i own the kp3 now im wondering if i should go and buy a Kaossilator, should i give it go ?? any advice would be great :-)

  • that's what I would do! I think they compliment each other very well musically. I'll go get both in the days to come lulzzz

  • cool :)

  • What kind of music are you looking to make?

  • im making trance or hardcore :-)with a koass pad 3 and lots of other techno goodies

  • Are these two awesome devices fairly easy to use for a beginner to this kind of thing? Can you plug in your MP3 player to the KP3 and remix the song directly?

  • ehh... not so much. the KP3 is more of an effects unit based on an X Y axis, so "remixing" is limited to effects added onto a sound. but it's fantastic for working with impromptu loops to build songs. I use it with a Korg Radias synth, and work with it, instead of the Kaossilator, as Denkitribe uses so skillfully here. overall, lots of fun, though!

  • Very trentemoller style ... awesome !!!!

  • The the 51st chorded tone is my favorite on the Kaossilator. Great video.

  • This kinda answers a question I have. Does the Kaossilator have a sound library in it?

I'm guessing the KP3 is basically a sequencer?

Know what I go check it out...

  • Awesome!

  • sick

  • Super !! continues à nous offrir des musiques planantes !!

  • amazing

  • DenkiTribe you should be busy pumping out full length cd's not wasting time making videos on here where few actually appreciate the beauty of all of this. Although, I'm kind of happy you did! We should hook up by the way, I'm living near you I think. You made a video next to Arakawa River right? Let me know if you need a partner!

  • an mp3 of this would just make my day

  • Same here!

  • genial.-..

  • eigentlich so wie fast alles von Denkitribe

  • can you record what you do on the kaossilator onto the kp3?

  • Yes, you can jazz.

  • Yes thats what they're doing here, in the beginning you can see the slice segment lights on the KP3 filling up as each of the four samples are recorded.

  • good, but I think your first is better

  • I dont like when the drums ends so sudden and it has a rep sounds

  • thats down to the instrument though, you just have to cope with the limitations

  • interesting..

  • Dude are you an official Korg endorser? You seem to own every box they've ever released! The KP3 is gorgeous and the tones of the Kaossilator are mesmerizing. Although I'm a bit disappointed never seeing any analog 'guitar' stompboxes in your chain. I imagine the Line6 DL4 and an Electro Harmonix Big Muff would create some sweet sustain. I always chain my Electribes with various distortion pedals, reverse delays, etc. Like suddenly having a brand new machine. A cheap Digitech can even be fun!

  • holy crap

    5/5

  • Use the jungle ridim to span the chords with basses

Some variations, always using the same bass note for the left hand :

The following chords are played with right hand, each note of the 3 notes chord is detailed by line :

C F Bb > played at the same time with Eb at Left Hand

Eb Ab C > played with Bb LH

F Bb Eb > played with F LH

    Bb D G > played with C LH

  • Left hand : Eb Bb F C (the bass notes !)

Right hand : Eb C# Ab Eb, see below for details

    The right hand detailed :

First chord : Bb Eb G (Play these 3 notes with right hand, and so on with below !) > With the Eb on Left Hand bass like above

2nd : C# F Ab > with Bb on bass note for left hand

3rd : Ab C Eb > with F on bass note for left hand

4th : Eb G Bb > with C on bass note for left hand

  • A bice presentation and very good chords, thank you for my upper levelling =)

  • Brutal!!!!!!

  • Brilliant!

  • really nice!

  • 4:28.....

    awesome.....

    Hangin out for my KO1!!

  • perfect....

  • your vids are some of the BEST ive seen on youtube in terms of gear demos. MaX respect bro! :-D

  • Wonderfully ambient.

  • got my kaoss pad yesterday, love it:)

  • that's .... damn nice actually \o/

  • thanks for hosting videos and your demos are cool. i really been looking for something new. that kaosillator looks like it could do quite a bit. what would the kp3 and a kaossilator run me? i figure id wait and ask the dudes at long and mcquade... but since you hosted the vids? how much?? thanks man. haha thats whiled.

  • kaossilator = 150 euro

    KP3 = 330 to 400 euro

  • that's $200 or $400 for us american chaps.

  • increivle ya mismo los tengo en mis manos

  • I need one of these things =d

  • great stuff!!

my freakin kaossilator is backordered till whenever!!

    i want it now

  • just you wait till you get it. Its a motivator to spend a lot more money to make better music, trust =)

  • i wish have money =/

  • i am definatley getting a kaossilator!

  • ich finde es fantastisch! <:)

  • jo hast recht nur der anfang is ziemlich lahm^^

  • is that run through a computer or can it be plugged into a amp

  • quiero uno de esos :D me regalan uno???

  • does that have a yellow trim around it??

  • MAMAZING

  • darn i want a kaossilator.

  • So this is your song of winter?

    It's pretty.

  • yea clearly he's never been to chicago in the winter months. . . great song!

  • He's no where near Chicago. Cx

  • That shit is wack man, i already sold my Koassilator, i sucked at it, lolz

  • Ok, the Kaoscillator is a mini oscillator, it has 100 different sounds on it, u can build simple beats quick, the kp3 is an effects processor with built in sampling, you put both of them together, you have something really powerful

  • excuse me, but do not get the function of the kap3, what does it do?

  • It does the layering. As you see he does 'can' (cancel) a few times, so deleting the beat, but it keeps stored in the KP :) Very handy.

  • Nice!

    But the base-drum is weak.

  • man this is so fucking sick!!!!

  • How the hell did you learn how to do that shit? hah great job man

  • Can anyone tell me the difference between the two devices? 'cause they seem to do the same thing as far as I can tell...

  • This has a place on my ipod, but unfortunatly, you don't have it available in MP3 format. I'm sure i'm not the only person you'd make happy by making it available as such.

  • loved the mellow "comedown" sound! more! more! more!

  • exellent

  • got mine today. this is the vid that inspired that purchase... if you can keep a beat, your an idiot not to get one......its basically stuck to my hands/face/eyes/brain/life....

  • Well i sold mine already... because pure Koassilator is to limited... with KP its a whole other story (as you can see :D) You can do custom layering, effects, nice delays, thats when it gets interesting :)

  • dude, you don't need a KP to do that stuff. It's only as limiting as you make it, fair enough you can't do it on board but there are hundreds of ways to change it up a bit, who ever brought a Kaossilator to use solo to make tunes..

  • U dont NEED a KP indeed. I tried layering with Adobe Audition, works nice to (in a gay way) but still. I stick with my EMX for now :D
