  • hey i need 2 know how u installed ur stero is there a kit 4 it i have a 84 gp an tryin 2 figure out how or what i need as far as a kit 4 the cd player let me know ok thankz whwraw66@yahoo.com

  • @ecosby100

You're an idiot. You probably had your shit at the wrong impedance because a kicker zx1500.1 Is made SPECIFICALLY for those subs.

  • They Are nice, Kickers play very good to my satisfaction... those L7 are old. but i have the first ever Kicker L7 solobaracks that were made.. the older version.. mines is red and black..

  • i had a planet audio like 1200 wat and they blew my kicker l7 to peices so im sure that amp can blow those subs no problem

  • dude i have 3 L7s 12" in a ported box and they bang! i only have 1500rms running to all of them but they can take more!! gaurentee u would want to go wit 3 L7s cause they bang! check out my vids and c them for urself

  • sounds good man

  • so sick

  • NOW YOUR REPPIN SOME OLD SCHOOL KICKERS MAN

  • stock alt ? n bat ?

  • YO! whats the song?

  • @fmxclown all black by plies

  • yea dude i agree with the one guy your ohms and watts would change if you would run 3 l7s on that one amp i would say use 3 different amps for each sub and put in a cross over to make sure you get good volts from your deck to each amp and yea sealed hits harder and ported is louder but not as hard as well if you go sealed then you can pump more watts to each sub then ported and yea you wanna always keep your set up nice and clean dont wanna blow anything up but over all man looks good to me

  • im doin 2 12" l7's with a 3000d power acoustik amp that runs at 1700rms @ 1ohm. is that too much if both subs together are 1500rms??

  • @maxp8ntballer cant have too much power. Its if ur amp is rated higher then thats great. Ur amp wont be working so hard/hot to power the subs.

You cannot have too much power.

  • @maxp8ntballer

no, that is perfect, if you set the gains and everything right, it would work out just fine, remember subs like more power than less power

  • Sounds clean!

  • hey man did you ever install the 3 sealed? and did it hit harder cause im thinking of the exact same thing as you ?

  • can you tell me the box dimensions or the cu feet

  • you should put those in a sealed would sound better in your trunk hit harder

  • I got the same setup in my car, i bought it in usa and brought it back to south africa coz we dont have l7 s over here.. I just want to know how ur subs is wired coz my system ceeps cutting out due to the amp pulling to much battery power. Please help and i got a 2farad cap connected aswell

  • get that amp off that box not good for your amp

  • With 3 subs your impedance changes, you will have to change your amp. Double check spec. In theory you will get cleaner, tighter bass. Your head unit install is sloppy @best. The speakers under the dash.. dude, if you can't put them in the doors, at least pull the dash and mount them in the factory locations where there is adequate space. Your install is sloppy as hell. Ride looks cool with those wheels but the tires are too low profile. Clean it up! Looks GHETTO but could look a lot better.

  • i wouldnt even attempt to run 3 subs. get another one and do it the right way

  • :41 Someone got shot

  • ok nice but if it was me i like jl audio and rockford amp

  • nice best buy sys lol no seriously

  • dude thats a nice/sick ass ride homie...

  • im not the biggest fan on you car. but everyone has there own styles. its a great car tho. check my 84 grand prix out.

  • Aren't those the Solo X subs, not the Solo Baric L7's?

  • thats what i thought

  • those are the l7's cuz solo x has the x through the sub

  • @60buickl No they are the older solo's

  • Hey u ever got your stuff metered?

  • I Know have my system in a LEXUS IS300 2001. But I am running 3 kicker l7's in a sealed box.. i hit a 148.2

  • lmao yeah I'm using sealed box n 2 Kenwood W3012 12's hit 137.9. Going to go bigger amp and ported box tuned 36-38 hz. Should be doing 140s. I'm bass racing on a budget hahahahah

  • yea ull be hittin around a high 142 or a low 143 prolly .. garenteed.. if ported right..

  • Bass racing today I'll get ya pics n vids. Look for my buds team called Team Deadly Hertz I'm not apart of them but I roll with them

  • @7E0N are you using a tl or ac meter ?

  • @toucandan8989 TermLab

  • you box looks like Styrofoam

  • try having somebody build you a box, and not just any box, since you know exactly what your going to be running they can build you a box specially not only for the subs but for your trunk giving you the most "bang for you buck". and sealed vs. ported? well that up to you ported usually requires a bigger box and hit louder, and sealed box is usually smaller, depending on the sub, it may not hit "as" hard. but the sound quality is better and the subs hit alot lower.

  • since you got 2 12s in a ported box its better to stay ported because in a sealed box you can also cook your subs with low bass, because in sealed you have back pressure and sealed you dont. if you go three subs keep them in all one chamber not all divided up, trust me it will sound a lot louder in one big box. with port on the sides or the back of the box.

  • but,,in a sealed box you have more cone control..and with ported you lose control limiting the power you can safely run to the driver...its a give and take.,,either way you can fry a sub..

  • go sealed 2 cube per sub you wont regret it o and bye the way if you go sealed you can play dang near anything and it will hit unlike a ported box which has a very short bandwidth and you gain sound quality and have more brutal lows sealed yea you would lose loudness but you gain brutallity and sound quality

  • BIGGER BOX WILL HELP AND MAKE IT PORTED

  • Fyi to the people looking. that model of Grand prix can fit 5 bodies in the trunk so that box is pretty big

  • only 10 volts? you better up that alternator bro

  • nice job bro i bet she bangs

  • A mane ur shit wangin! I like that, with that real GM car! lol, i got a 03 impala with 2 L7 15s, not hooked up yet........still thinkin what amp to go with.

  • man u need more highs

  • yo its justin i bought them 15s off you your shit pounds now are they better then the 15s i got or about even let me know i like the vid were did u take the video with out rattling your house apart hahaha

  • sealed is usually 10 too 15percent less loud, but in return u have a larger bandwidth, witch will allow ur sub too play just about ne frequency u throw at it...

    Ported

well ull get 10 too 15 percent more overall loudness, but a smaller bandwidth, if u notice with ur subs, certain frequencys JUST dont hit, becuz the frequency isnt near the port tune

personally i like sealed better, but i will have ported cuz i am gunna be competing with my 18" solo x walled off in a focus.

  • you should get a bigger batt. your voltage drop will damage the amps. did you upgrade the alt? but nethertheless nice system dude. 4*

    check my sys

  • again i have a 900 cca amp in the front its 1000 when its hot out.. and again.. i have a purple kinetic 800cca under the cap to the left of the box.. just not sure if i wanna go 3 sealed or 2 ported.. thx

  • again your deep voltage destroys the amps. get a third battery. it doesnt help you saying you have these batts. the voltage shows thats not enough. for the box i would go 3 sealed. try it!

  • Thanks alot.. will do

  • You should replace the cap with a small battery. It will be better in the long run and your system will definately hit way harder. And it all depends on how the box is built. Ported subs with high wattage sucks in trunks because the air has no where to go. Im currently porting my 15 through the rear deck in a 4th order bandpass enclosure. I would go with 3 sealed. The only way the ported will sound louder is when you open the trunk.

  • how do you guys not see it , theres a purple kinetic 800 battery in the trunk under the cap.. thanks tho..

  • I was going to buy the following:

    Kicker 04SS56.2

    Kicker 04SS65.2

    Kicker 08ZX350.4

    Kicker 08DS12L72

ZX Series 1500W RMS Class D

But now i'm concerned about If i should buy ported or not?!

  • im simply going 3 l7's bc i have an extra l7 12 laying around.. all the same ohm impedence but.. no i dont regret going 2 l7's ported.. it sounds and hits great i just think imma get a better response and sq and hit a tiny bit harder with 3 than 2 ported.. but all in all just trying to be different..you should be just fine with that set up..

  • No not really I have dash 3 1/2's in the dash and tweeters tucked in the dash aswell and with that zx350 on those speakers on the floor They prolly dont sound amazing compared to door speakers.. but they work very well still ear piercing ... at points..

  • with those speakers so far under the dash doesnt it sound super shitty? it wont have that dynamic effect.. you can tell the difference compared to door speakers and dash speakers (or tweeters in the a-pillars)

  • okay so what you want to run 5 subs? 3 sealed and 2 ported is that right?

  • no... i wanna run either 3 sealed OR 2 Ported as i have now.

  • oh ic ic nice... ya ported is the way to go with those l7's mang

  • OK for Future Notice on others VIEWING this please READ my INFO and QUESTIONS i have thanks..What im running is in the info if needed
