It might be real, i think the only way to boost is on Infection, why? Because if you got the pistol with 36 rounds and a shot gun with 18 rounds, well if you got the entire team infected except 2 people (you and somebody). Well when you run out of ammo let you team mate kill you and you respond with ammo and won't be a zombie. Trust me, i think the only way to boost on reach.
