I can't believe Ike makes friends with Zelgius in PoR and gives him orders and he doesn't even know it's the guy that killed his father. Without the armor and the creepy voice. : O Things are never what they seem...

Examples: Soren ( A Prince! XD) Nasir, the laguz vs beorc war, Zihark, Volke, Greil, Yune (bird-form) the heron family, the murder of the previous begnion apostle, etc.

I can't help but automatically think "Lake Wintergrasp" (From WoW) due to soundtrack (I put this song over WoW's crappy choice of music for the zone-- which, if you're not aware is a PvP area that erupts into a massive Defend/Seize battle every 2 Hours)... really good song.

I would not say Ike thinks he's a bad guy. He just happens to be a good guy in the opposing side and his rival, so he has to kill him, but its not like they have any hate for each other whatsoever.

My point is that Ike understood his father died with honor, he even saw the black knight give him a worthy weapon. If he had killed Greil cowardly, maybe Ike would have hated Zelgius, but he was killed in a legitimate duel, so there was no reason to hate him on a personal level.

I wish I knew more about Zelgius, they only went into his backstory briefly after the memory Yune witnesses. He was such an awesome character, and I started feeling this way after playing RD a few times.

I agree. That scene changed my opinion of Zelgius and it really disappointed me how he was neglected as a character in the game [same with Sepheran]. They give you just enough to make you want more, yet we'll probably never get to know why Zelgius felt so alone [I assumed the branded part had something to do with it, but it wouldn't have been that big an issue in a Beorc nation like Begnion as it would in other parts, so idk].

My friend, Begnion citizens HATE the Laguz and the Branded. Being a Branded in Begnion could be compared to be a jew in Nazi Germany. You were sure to risk your life or your social integration should your true identity be revealed to the rest of society. The Branded aren't numerous, so it is a bit hard for them to regroup or meet others of their own kind : this explains his loneliness.
