Thanks for your video Lauren. I have such a hard time not falling into traps of negativity with M.S. I get so caught up in the fear of the unknown. I am still trying to come to terms with this diagnosis and I am trying to see the good in every day. Your video is really helpful. I find that my biggest problem is just coping with some of the frustration and fear that I feel but it helps to know I am not alone.
@KSTdancer I wish you the best with everything...I know it's difficult but I know you can do it! I try to stay positive and not even think about the future.
Hi Lauren! My name is Sonja, i am from the Netherlands (please excuse my English) en i am also diagnosed with ms. I have watched some video's of you and i just want to say that i love your positive attitude! I hope you place a new video soon.
@sonjalun Hi Sonja! Thank you so much for writing! I appreciate what you said! And I'm so glad you've written from the Netherlands! I'll be making another video soon! Much love!
Lauren, you are beautiful, I love your videos. You need to watch the dvd by Woodrow C Monte PhD it is called "solving The Mystery of multiple Sclerosis: Is Your Diet Secretly poisoning you?"
This was ground breaking for me, it explains the correlation between food and MS Symptoms, like no one else does, not just eating healthy, but what our body does with it. It explains the Aspartame connection with MS. It has been a total life changer for me and I have Primary-Progressive MS. Good Luck...
I've been watching your videos for hours. You are such a beautiful person, inside and out. I was diagnosed w/ PPMS in '87, at 33 and since have had 2 children, both in college now. I think my illness has made them more compassionate and caring people. My progression has been slow but steady. I know the location of every bathroom, always wear a liner. I can't wear shoes with rubber soles so always on the look out for leather soled shoes. Keep up the good work on this site.... it's helping
@svlomicky Thank you so much! It sounds like you have a beautiful family and you are living with your disease extremely well! I wish you the very best!
your so right you make your own happiness and you stay so positive and very encouraging. On days where my walking is at its worse I look for the things I can do. I know depression comes along with MS. Its one thing you really don't need on top of all the other things your going through. Staying positive has gotten me through each day. Cheers.
hello my friend ! it is so true that a positive attitude helps a lot, if it isn't always easy then little things can help promote a positive day ... if the hot weather makes you feel bad then stay cool with a huge tub of Ben & Jerry's fairly nuts ice cream, well it works for me! Also treat yourself to whatever you can afford that will cheer you up ... what a coincidence the iPhone 4 is soon to be here, Tony has to treat himself !!
This little angel can make me feel better just listening to her voice. I was diagnosed with ms years ago. I ignored it for many years before my diagnosis and this cost me greatly. I am now Primary/Progressive and spend most of my time in a wheelchair. I am not here to complain, just to express my appreciation for this dear little lady.
This sweet little angel can make me feel better just listening to her voice. I am Primary/Progressive with tremendous anger issues. I have served in two wars and suffered several traumas in my life. In 1998 I was diagnosed with this MS crap, and it took hold with a vengeance! Well, I did not come here to complain, I just really appreciate this little lady, very much.
Lauren you look amazing! and your earings and necklace are sooo beautiful!
I am struggling still with this awful dizziness and 'wobbly eyes'! it makes me quite sad as it is actually having a huge impact on my life! I have been told that I need to learn to live with it!
I feel sad ALOT! but you are a real inspiration to me and to a whole lot of other people and I always smile when I watch your videos!
I am on Copaxone again now (tysabri is taking a back step right now!)
@harveysmummy Hi Mel!! It is SOOO GREAT to hear from you! You're so sweet, thank you! Oh gosh I'm so sorry to hear about the dizziness and 'wobbly eyes'. I know what it's like to feel sad a lot...I've been there before too...but I'm so glad that my videos make you smile!! I wish I could give you advive as to how to help with your situation, but I really don't know.
Hi Lauren, I'm very glad that there's at least someone who thinks and behave like me...dispite of the MS...Someoane who has her smile on her face...In gives a lot of energy for those who need it...I don't know your plans...but if you will travel to Romania, please choose Sibiu...to meet me:) And if I'll come to US, I promise to find you...just sharing the experiences, the smilea, the positive energy...and also some hints about time managing! Nice jewelery you got!
I'm experiencing my first flare up after 10 years of being free of ms symptoms.. I'm devastated, sad, scared.. Today I finished taken a week of oral steroids but I feel the same if not worse. It's hard to be positive right now..
@bekiki I can totally relate...I am so sorry. Like I said, there are times where we all think this disease sucks, too. Have you ever had an IV of steroids? Like Solumedrol? That's really what helped me during my relapse. I wish I could say something that will make you feel better, but I know how difficult going through a relapse is. The best thing to think about is that this is temporary. You will get better! That's the positive light at the end of the tunnel. Good luck and keep in touch!
i love the way you cutely say "hi everybody"hahaha, unfortunately i'm negative and i always think of the worst possibility of condition, but when i meet lauren i say to myself i should change my outlook, and you're a great example, almost forgot, your jewel is sooooooooo charming
Its so lovely to hear all good things from u i just love watching ur videos i will be checking out the web sight the earings and necklace are beautiful.xx
It is nice to know that other people feel down sometimes. I am having problems with my right leg dragging again. The stress alone from trying to accept my MS is taking away my appetite and making it hard to sleep sometimes even though I always feel exhausted. I am not having an easy time adjusting by any means. I am trying to keep up with a full time work schedule, but it is iffy right now. People tell me to apply for disability and gain back my health, but that scares the heck out of me!!!

Your outlook on staying positive made me smile so much because its exactly what i do! My friends and family cant believe how easy it is for me to stay positive. But like you said its just the attitude you take towards it. Its great hearing another person saying that they have that outloook :)! x
