I'm an atheist, but respect all religions. I don't find comfort or solace in believing, but I understand how others do. For me, this song doesn't hold religious meaning, because that isn't how I see things in the world. Christ came so that we could be set free frmo our sins that was besought on all men. He loves us so much, more than a mother loves her child. He only ask's that you be obedient to His will is for your life, and love Him, alone.

I figured I would get a snarky remark.The great thing about not having a religion is that I can listen to whatever I want. : ) I know first hand pastors who have stolen from churches-hundreds of thousands in fact. Plus if the preachers were so holy why do they wear those very expensive suits? It's totally awesome to believe in whatever you want, just be aware of being taken advantage of.

Thousands of people followed him and he could have taken power and gained a kingdom of riches like Mohamed. But instead, he was both God and man: he lived a sinless and simple life and in the end he sacrificed himself on the cross out of his love for mankind. If there are sinful pastors out there, it is not such a huge surprise. Humans are sinful, we all are, and that's why Jesus died to save us.

Everyone needs to remember this. John 9:31 "We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly man who does his will." If your sinning God will not listen. So when someone walks into a church and says father ive sinned and the pastor says to pray. THAT IS WRONG! First stop sinning then ask for forgiveness then you can pray and God will listen. @illchewonthatrug honey, you're getting it all wrong. if that person in the church truly wants to repent for their sins, then God WILL listen. they don't even have to be in a church. the scripture is only saying that if there's someone who's praying out of vanity of convenience, then He won't grant their prayers. rather, if someone truly believes that He can do anything, He will bless them and will answer their prayers.

I see him through what he has done in my life and in others lives around me. In the bible Hebrews 11:1 says "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." I have considered the possibility that I am wrong about God, and that Christianity is a joke. In fact the bible says it is good to do that. But yet I still believe.

@naruto0076 I know this is off topic but they've found some trust worthy proof that 'God' is in the mind. The've called it the 'God effect' when your body is in it's final state of natural death or premature death some sort of fluid gets released into your brain which gives you comfort, i guess the seeing the light and angels is real but the fluid helps you relax and comforts you from fearing or freaking out at the sight of these supernatural beings descending towards you to help you up :D

I figured I would get a snarky remark.The great thing about not having a religion is that I can listen to whatever I want. : ) I know first hand pastors who have stolen from churches-hundreds of thousands in fact. Plus if the preachers were so holy why do they wear those very expensive suits? It's totally awesome to believe in whatever you want, just be aware of being taken advantage of.

Thousands of people followed him and he could have taken power and gained a kingdom of riches like Mohamed. But instead, he was both God and man: he lived a sinless and simple life and in the end he sacrificed himself on the cross out of his love for mankind. If there are sinful pastors out there, it is not such a huge surprise. Humans are sinful, we all are, and that's why Jesus died to save us.

I was actually on a church retreat in the woods, but we were visiting the local lake, which was huge and beautiful and surrounded by trees and wildlife and the blue sky. We were driving, and we turned k love on... It was a beautiful moment. This is such an awesome song.

to be honest, I didn't even know this was a religious song. I just interpreted it differently, and still do. I liked this song because when things get really hard, it's ok to loose it a little bit. But to earn respect, love, honor - in anyone's eyes - there are pieces of yourself that you have to give in return. my dream is to be a federal agent, so I guess it means something different to me because I automatically relate it to that. I don't wanna tread on anybody's beliefs lol :)

Everyone needs to remember this. John 9:31 "We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly man who does his will." If your sinning God will not listen. So when someone walks into a church and says father ive sinned and the pastor says to pray. THAT IS WRONG! First stop sinning then ask for forgiveness then you can pray and God will listen. Most pastors tell them to pray! WHY???? Ive been to over 100 churches and they all say pray! WHY????????????????

I think God never stops listening. And you can call me a sinner for believing that, but religion condemns a lot of people as sinners. But I don't think God condemns. He's too good for that.

@illchewonthatrug honey, you're getting it all wrong. if that person in the church truly wants to repent for their sins, then God WILL listen. they don't even have to be in a church. the scripture is only saying that if there's someone who's praying out of vanity of convenience, then He won't grant their prayers. rather, if someone truly believes that He can do anything, He will bless them and will answer their prayers.

He made both my parents drug addicts, I was bascially abandoned when I was 9 months old. My mom is now dying. I'm 15, and before I'm 20; she'll be dead. It hurts because I can't see her anymore, I never had that mom to dress me for homecoming, that mom to hold her daughter when her heart got broken.
I was raped at the age of 14 by a guy who was 8 years older then me. 22 years old.

@demon25angel I can't claim to know why all that happened, only God knows. I do know that sometimes/most times God has bad things happen to lead you to him. I may have what you call the perfect family, but I got diagnosed with an illness 2 years ago that may never go away. It may even turn into MS which means my body will eat away at itself and I will die early. I am only 16 years old, but I know it will be ok. I have God. You are searching for the love you never had, I promise God can fill that

@demon25angel Believing in what you can't physically see is called Faith. And even though you can't physically see God, I can still see him. I see him through what he has done in my life and in others lives around me. In the bible Hebrews 11:1 says "Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." I have considered the possibility that I am wrong about God, and that Christianity is a joke. In fact the bible says it is good to do that. But yet I still believe.

@demon25angel But you don't ever see a fairtale working out in real life. You never see traces of it. I see traces of God everywhere. And can you expect God to go by your timing with everything?... He is listening to the whole worlds prayers and having to have a plan that answers all of them. And sometimes his answer is no. And when you look back on it, it was for the best. As you said, he ended up answering, but it was later. Have you ever thought that the happy times in life is from him too.

God didn't abandon you he can not be described by human understanding. he loves you unlimited times more than your earthly father is capable of. if you want to see God in your life you have to believe without a doubt he will be there for you and he will. also the stories in the Bible can and will happen again. maybe in your lifetime. the Bible is not about making money.....i will pray for you tonight. :)

@naruto0076 I know this is off topic but they've found some trust worthy proof that 'God' is in the mind. The've called it the 'God effect' when your body is in it's final state of natural death or premature death some sort of fluid gets released into your brain which gives you comfort, i guess the seeing the light and angels is real but the fluid helps you relax and comforts you from fearing or freaking out at the sight of these supernatural beings descending towards you to help you up :D

@demon25angel There is a reason why this song is soothing. These singers have had tough times also, but they found refuge in Christ, and now all they can do is sing of it. God is unique beyond questioning, because His hand is seen plainly by those who know Him, but the unbeliever cannot see it. What God wants from you is simply to believe, and to read His Word, because every answer your looking for really is in there. It's known as the manifold wisdom of God. God bless and keep you :)
