Dickhead in the car deserves 3 decades worth of jail time for doing that. Definitely shows that driver wasn't caring for his surroundings and was road raging.
@bigiss1111 there was no HOV lane and that's my brother you're talking about. i know we have freedom of speech here but respect those who were affected by this accident by keeping your smart comments to yourself. thanks
what a stupid son of a bitch driving that car!!!! people commenting that this is the bikes fault are retarded. The car just came at high speed and crashed on the poor guy, Same thing would have happened to you. I wish the driver of that car dies.
It's a high risk motorcyclist that puts themselves into that situation. Simple as that. Stop and go traffic on a highway is no place for a motorcycle to be.... because we know there are too many idiots out there.
Me... driving motorcycles for 38 years now. No accidents.... and I intently watch what goes on in my rear view... that would not have happened to me.
Never say never. I've seen traffic go from 140kph to 0 because of an accident. Everyone had to slam on the brakes and traffic came to a dead halt. Seeing as how we cannot see what is happening ahead of the motorcyclist everything anyone is saying is purely speculation. The car behind the bike was going WAY too fast. As someone else said...he not only hit the bike but the car in front the bike. Regardless of the fact that the bike had to slam on his brakes...he would have stopped no problem
Even if the motorcyclist wasn't there, that guy drove like an idiot and would've cracked the car in front of him. Glad to know the motorcyclist isn't paralyzed or even dead. That guy got off e-z, he didn't even get arrested, just impounded car
you guys are so _______, do you really think going to the left shoulder would have worked? yeah in slow motion you can say its a good idea but in reality this shit happened pretty fast so i have no idea what you guys are saying about going to the left!!
Ok guys, 1st off I ride!! Give me a break people, stop being ignorant!! Did we all not learn in drivers Ed that you have to be alert and in control of your vehicle at all times!!! Obviously the guy on the bike was in control of his, he stopped before hitting anything!!! Smoke no smoke, he stopped!! I see this all the time during rush hour in Boston!! People not paying any attention, hitting the ass who hits there brakes infront of them!! Remember the rules of the road, this shit would never hap
I hope the driver dies in his next accident, from what I've read in the description and in the comment section he's bound to have one - sooner or later.
He wasn't day dreaming. The guy that hit him was actually dancing around and not paying attention to the road and constantly breaking his car. He was acting like a fool. After he hit Perez, he tried to flee the scene. There were alot of important details the news failed to report.
If you are driving any vehical, you primary job is to stay alert so that you can react to any situation!! That car should have seen that motorcycle brake and would have put on his or her breaks sooner. Fuck that, if I were a witness, I would have stopped at the car that hit him and I would have broke his or hers fucking nose, damn jail!!
Unbelievable. This story was just on cnn. The guy did survive. He came away from the accident with a hernia, broken rib, 4 broken vertebrae and spleen-less. But, at least he's alive. According to his interview, he doesn't plan on getting back on a motorcycle anytime soon. Can't blame him.
@atreyu179 yeah it was as much his fault as the guy that hit him
riding a bike you just can't go out and day dream around you have to know what is around you at all times and if some thing happens you have to have an out to get out of the way
@aeroliner750 Good point. I've never been a motorcyclist, but I figure you need to be extra aware when riding a motorcycle versus a car. Mainly because (speaking through experience) motorcyclists get lost in blind spots among other things.
It's easy for me to criticize, but if I were the guy driving that bike, I'd have pulled off to the shoulder on the left. Obviously he was stopping fast enough to kick up smoke. But, again, easy to say from where I'm sitting. Glad the dude's okay.
@comcastjohn both are wrong both locked up the tires going too fast the bike should have had an out by dodging on to the shoulder he is just lucky that he walked away alive with a back injury
@aeroliner750 wow are you kidding? how the hell can you fault the guy on the bike. yea had he known that the car was coming up behind him he could have gotten out of the way but theres no way he can be faulted for the driver behind him not paying attention. there are a few things you obviously dont understand. first, cars stop faster than bikes. second, just because the rear tire is locked up doesnt mean he was doing a panic stop. the rear tire locks up very easily because the rear is so light.
@TurboNeon185 i have been riding longer then you have been alive the guy evan said that he was going too fast for tarffic conditions which is true then you always have an out instead of jumping on the brakes he should have went to the left on to the shoulder if the car was stopping that fast
the last thing that you want to do is use the brakes and you have to know at all times what is around you so shit like that never happens
and with ABS on bikes today bikes can stop ver5y quick
@aeroliner750 you do see the tire smoke? you did talk about the rider locking up the brakes right? so why are you even mentioning ABS when its quite clear this bike doesnt have it. youre blaming the guy on the bike for slowing down when traffic in front of him stops? do you not see how retarded that sounds? the guy that hit him also hit the car infront of him. had the bike not been there that car still would have hit the traffic infront of him. it was 100% the fault of the car driver.
@TurboNeon185 what ever you see it your way i see it my way they both were going too fast for the amount of traffic the bike rider looking at it again didn't look far enough down the road to see what traffic was doing he just saw an opening and took it and then had to slam on the brakes
now if he was any good and not such a noob he wouldn't have had to touch the brakes if he had a away out which he did but did not take it so you see it your way i see it mine with 30 +yrs of ridingand teaching
