  • thank you justin ;D

  • Justin you are the hero. I follow you now since a year or so and from time by time when I want to learn a special song, I browse your videos. I just want to drop a big complement here and greetings from germany. This Video is again a great help. I believe in some years my guitar playing will be so much improved just because people like you are helping and sharing so much. Thank you very much dude! Your lessons are just awesome!

  • Good day sir,

Would kind enough to share your amp setting for this riff.?

Btw, nicely done.! I also wanna thank you for your under the bridge lesson. After several months of focusing to that lesson, i had a tremendous improvement in my guitar playing.

Whenever i got tired of practicing and when i was about to quit, i always watch that video and

seeing you how you easily play it, motivated me to keep on practicing then finally nailed it.!

my sincere thanks to you sir.!

    ^_^ .\m/

  • Killer Tele Justin!

  • Thank you so much Justin, I will definitely be donating when I can. Possibly a stupid question, but I've only been learning for a couple of months, why does the direction of picking matter? Is it to help with timing? or is there actually a sound difference?

    Thanks again :)

  • @Nicky282820 dude..the alternate picking (both directions) will multiply ur playing speed X2 .. true that it's hard at the beginning; but will make your hand pick more comfortably and easy in the future ....I'm like u..I've been practicing for months only, believe it or not..I learned this riff without the pick(hand picking)..when I learned it with the pick, at first I struggled but then ,, it was super cool..the sound was so much better !

  • Justin, i love your videos, they are the best, but can issue you a challenge, can you try and do a lesson on gallows pole by led zeppelin? if so that would be amazing, anyways thanks for the amazing lesson, ill be sure to stay tuned in! Whiteskull

  • Justin I have been watching you for years, thanks for all your free lessons they have helped me become a better guitarist but something happened in my neck and I got a pinched nerve and lost the feeling in my left hand and now I can't play the guitar anymore, I lost the feeling in my index middle and thumb, it has been a month now since this happened, have you heard of this before and is there any exercise I can do to get the feeling back in my fingers and thumb?

  • Thank you very much for great lesson.

  • You know a man has respect when there's not a single dislike on his video ;)

    Thanks for the lesson mate

  • nice lesson man, jimmy page is indeed the master, but it was acctually john paul jones who came up with this riff ;)

  • Amazing Justin...I love your lessons

  • You're so good!

  • lol man i love your videos.... I've learned a whole lot from them... You think you could do "That Smell" by Skynyrd? Or just Steve Gaine's second solo??? Cant get it exactly right yet.... If you could just message me back either way, I'd appreciate it. Thanks and you rock!!

  • hey justin how about some stevie ray vaughan or john mayer

  • kind minor and major? jimmy page great riffs. Really Cool Justin... Im gonna save my economies to go to England and try to make some classes with you... It will be great.

    Cheers.

  • holy shit I love fuckin' Telecaster

  • no offense bu that telecaster's colour is disgusting!

  • great teaching again justin, cheers

  • What is the story on this Tele? And, THANKS!

  • does how you pick really matter??

  • @DrGreenfun do you think i would have spent so long on it if it didn't?

  • @JustinSandercoeSongs

Hey Justin. I think the end part of the main riff may be slightly incomplete.

I've listened to it a few times and I'm pretty sure the last bit on the D string is 5-7-7-0-2 flick on to 0, 3rd fret on A string then 5 flick off 3, 0 (all on A string) then play the A power chord.

Can you confirm? I'm not totally sure about the bit on the A string.

Thanks again for the lesson :D

  • @Abs9106 I agree the end of the 1st riff is wrong ... there is a note missing just before the A power chord and it's a G note

  • @JustinSandercoeSongs could u do the song "water of love' by dire straits as a lesson please please please!

  • @DrGreenfun Picking is very important to guitarist if not a fundamental and should know. As for alternative picking, down pick should go with downbeat as a up pick should go with the upbeat. Very important.

  • @MrLintRoller I dont understand why though. I mean if i just use standard alternate picking starting on a down pick then whats the difference? I mean, it sounds exactly the same.

  • @DrGreenfun i down pick everything and it sounds perfectly fine...so i dont think it does matter... ive never picked upward in my life and i consider myself pretty good... but i guess you have to be pretty fast to down pick everything

  • thank you!!!! can you please do ''whole lotta love''?...[the whole song]

  • I'm am brilliant at this tune on Air guitar!

  • @stainlesssteelprat Me too! I play air drums though. Wanna start a band?

  • @RandyMcDumpy Only if we restict ourselves to Church halls and Bar mitzvahs,I also insist upon making the Sandwiches!!

  • Thank you :-)

  • That is awesome :DD i started learning this song few days ago, and now this! :D life just couldn't be better :D thanks!

  • [awesome lesson as usual]...ick-cetera... :-)

  • great song and lesson, thanks!

  • Aaah finally, Im not the only one anymore who plays it on a Tele! (:

Nice lesson to fresh up my memory (:

    Thanks Justin! (:

  • Actually, this is a John Paul Jones riff (JPF is really underestimated).

Glad you do some Zeppelin again, Justin :)

Take care, and thank you !

  • @Marseille5 JPJ

  • @LFWOL yeah the g string is a touch flat at 1:39 - when I'm teaching I'm usually thinging more about delivery than my playing, so I often get funny things where the geetar is a little out of tune or I'm pressing too hard and don't notice... and can't be re-filming over minor thing like tuning :0 ha ha

  • dude plz do dazed and confused

    cant find any decent tabs

  • @LFWOL I don't hear any chords being out - and it already has compensated saddles (you didn't notice they are brass?) and a pro plek set up... I think it's playing great!

  • Awesome!!! Thank you, Justin! ;)

  • u the fuckin master!!

  • Justin, you are such a tidy player, and your teaching technique is superb - very clear, excellent explanations, and infectious enthusiasm which just shines through. I have been playing for 50 years (ouch) and learn something from you each time. Brilliant stuff. Thanks for posting.

  • finally Zeppelin after a long time!!

  • telecaster. love fender sound

  • Great lesson Justin. I've been playing that song for a long time. I think the fingering you showed here is easier and more accurate than the way I've always played it. Thanks as always.

  • I think you got one "but" too much in your description there mate. Not my native language though, so I'm not exactly sure. Cheers, great riff.

  • as always Justin - really clear and well explained

(btw what is the tatoo on your left forearm - on this vid - it looks like a mushroom??)

  • I HAVE THAT GUITAR!

  • @Parkyy16 The stairway solo was recorded on a tele :P

  • @Parkyy16

dude Zeppelin 1 and most of 2 were done on a tele... and alot of his other studio work was done with one, including the stairway solo.

  • @AllysWorld05 yeah but he's doing black dog which is from led zeppelin 4 which was recorded with the Les Paul, and I think Les Paul is better known than the tele with Led Zeppelin. But thank you, i didn't know that 1 and 2 were recorded with tele :]

  • @Parkyy16

i get what you mean, but im just saying that zeppelin can and was played with a tele :P

  • @AllysWorld05 teles are sex

  • @Parkyy16

i think we've seen and heard that he can play it with a tele

  • Thank you for the lesson Justin. It sort of blew my mind.

  • Thank You

  • I play it with a hammer on up to the 9th fret instead of rolling over to the 2nd string.

I think that's the way Jimmy plays it but I could be wrong. either way is fine I guess

  • @LFWOL lol if there set up properly shouldnt give him a problem plus IMO those type os sadeles give of a better tone

  • there seems like there should be another pickon/ pull off towards the end of the main riff

  • New Tele?

  • wow.

  • I've been waiting for this lick for so long !! My favorite band, great song, great lesson! Thanks!

  • Hey Justin is that guitar new? by the way I miss your livestream lessons!

  • Yes!
