  • 1979! God, I remember this like it was yesterday! Great times they were indeed! I remember when a friend of my brothers and the family got drunk as this song was playing that 3rd of July 1979. We were singing to this and playing pool. and getting drunk. Fun times they were! Come to think of it, I need a beer!

  • Book of Eli

  • It took me years to figure out what she was talking about! The same with Rick James' song MARY JANE ( "...she likes to spread her love around..." at first I did not know what he was talking about )!

  • This should be my new ringtone

  • VERY SWEET I LOVE THIS SONG.

  • Oh my god the roller rink anthem of all anthems You can ring my bell Anita hell yes!!!!

  • I feel like calling my sisters and laughing about old times

  • lol it amazes me how they found a way to sing about sex without being so blunt you couldnt play it on the radio

  • love this song......

  • sounds like elmo

  • @SaraJL17 - me too! I grew up lovin' this song ... since Book of Eli just the sound of this song sorta give me a churning feeling in my tummy...ew. Conditioned response much ??

  • I grew up during the 70's and 80's and think that was definitely the best time for musicians. This music makes get up and move.

  • you know it more than good misic this rocks and its my kind of muice back when i was 14 yr old and now i am 49 i still rocks Ida

  • wow they had music back in thedays when my parents were young....now these days people on the radio sing about sex and drugs which influence kids,....isnt this generation suppose to be better then the one before''i mean they had help getting inspired by the last generation '''now they jst feed off of each other and dont make any uniqe songs:(...io wish i lived in the 80`s

  • Ever since I saw "The Book of Eli" this song creeps me out...

  • could dance to this all night. what an absolute gem!!

  • I Love her music. And she's really pretty. <3

  • This was the number 1 song when I was born June 1979

  • Where were you when this was the shit?

  • what can i say supper sexy, the voice the backup the song woot. She is very pretty

  • I'd ring her bell if you know what I'm saying.

  • ~ I seriously do wish I could go back in time and visit the different decades solely to live their lives and relish in the good times, in the good music and meet all these influential and talented artists. I'm so jealous of my parents. x3

  • @funkalicious2907 I don't think it was easy to know well the great artists at the time neither.

  • @funkalicious2907 me too.....the only reason i know music like this is because of my mom ughhhh soooo jealous that she was a teen/young adult in the 70's lol

  • @Bitesize1991 Haha, I know how you feel.

  • @Bitesize1991 I was a teenager in the 70's and it was fantastic - everybody danced!!!

  • @mrshrspec see i envy you!!! nobody dances anymore, back in the 70's my mom said that nightclubs were actually fun and people didn't start drama and weren't quick to blow your brains out......smh these days if you accidentally bump into someone they're ready to kill you......that's why nightclubs these days suck

  • @mrshrspec me too, and everyone my neighborhood danced on their rollerskates too!

  • @funkalicious2907 you can do it know, imagine, that someone from the future will wish he could only meet for example Hans Zimmer.....go on and meet him! i presume you wont and so you would in past, praise the internet instead that we can enjoy these delicates provided by the music industry over the years

  • @funkalicious2907 i mean, it doesnt matter now because they are stuck in today's genration now. So its nothing they can do. Those days are over and the only they can do is have memories of their days. I wish I could have been there in the 70s back then too, but we can't help that we were born after them. Music these days suck and these wack ass artists.

  • @funkalicious2907 hy there just read what you wrote and i ahve to say i am so inclined to agree with you spot on x3 AMOR new to utube

  • Love this song now as much as I did when I was 12 when this came out. Apparently 8 people never had their bell rung...so sad for them

  • This joint got the party cracking!

  • I Wish I Was Alive When All The GOOD Music Was Around! But I Got To Grow Up Listening To All This ! (:

  • @mschula97 Ahhh sweetie, that's OK...that's why we got youtube...LOL! I must tell ya though...WE KICKED IT back in the day! LOL!!!

  • hello to everybody who speaks spanish and still party as those amazing, colorfull days full of gold, shine and real fun, love to everyone, hola yo baile y seguire bailando con el pasito del momento, mucho aamoor

  • We will break your eggs... Break your eggs...

  • Didn't this play in Book of Eli? smh

  • This came out when I was 1.

  • This song reminds me of time when I was in line at the movies with my sister to see "Phantasm", opening night. I was only like 11 and they didn't let me in...but like a great sister, she let me in through the back exit....the good 'ol days.

  • Thumbs up for this being in the Book of Eli movie, remember when Eli and the young woman took shelter in the old woman and man's house, she was playing this record on an old-school record player and offered them some "tea" (expired sunkist it looked like cause the drink was so orange lol).

  • @TheSeriousmrkarate I just commented on that scene. OMG that was the funniest scene in the movie. Made me LOL!

  • @2tim149 Most definately lol. If I remembered, the old woman drank some of the tea and smiled and the liquid made a rough sound when she swallowed it lol. My cousin and I joke and say: "That looks like expired Sunkist, that tea appeared almost orange in that cup if I'm remembering correctly. Been a while since I've seen it."

  • Takes me BACK in time!

  • Two cannibals named after the original First Family brought me here.

  • I remember this from way back in the day. I was so young. Thanks for sharing.

  • What a lady!

  • yiiiiipiiiieeehhh grrrreeeeeaaaaatt!!

  • 1979 Absolute.....

This track could be the summer song of 1979

  • asesome 70s i will never forget.

  • I haved heard this in a long time and it just came in my mind after so many many years and it is a terrific song and i am going to play it for my boyfriend and i bet he never even heard of the song as he is country all the way.

  • This really is beautiful. Thank you, Anita.

  • Where are the singers these days that have such, such, such, S-I-L-K-Y voices.

    It's like sexual chocolate 8)

  • love it love it they don't make music like this anymore for us to enjoy

  • When I heard this one some years back on the radio, I thought it was from the 1960s or the early '70s.

  • 7 people nobody ring there bell

  • Damn kids and your record players

  • "You can ring my bell anytime---anywhere

    ring it--ring it-- ring-a-ling-a-ling

One of the best disco classics ever!!!!

  • NEW SONG BY ANITA WARD -- OUT NOW ON iTunes! "It's My Night" - Anitia Ward

  • You can ring my common wealth I mean U facebook me anytime OK!

    The Ridiculous

  • That was '79, wow, I thought it was at least 5 years earlier. '79 was the last call for this disco groove stuff.

  • no just no. thats all i can say sorry not my kind of music.

  • @andiequaala Of course not. Considering your age, you're most likely the ghetto crap lover. Real dance music you wouldn't know, nor appreciate. You're too young. Not your fault.

  • @John22133 no not that i dont like that stuff either and you dont my age.btw, but i prefer anything but this. its not a bad song shes talented just not my type of music persay.

  • I used to love listening to this song when I jumped double dutch back in the day :)

  • 60's 70's 80's and let's say 90's

    this was music!!!

  • @dlloveRyy just that? oh, ok then.

  • @dlloveRyy Minus the 90's thats when music started going down hill the decade of b spears boy bands rap and the crap from Seattle!

  • @americanmonarchist

Oh yes. The late '90s when everything sucked so bad that if there was one period of music that needed a "demolition night", it was that one.

  • @americanmonarchist

    well i prefer 80's and 90's

  • @americanmonarchist excuse me but Im a 90s baby and The 90s music was still good so I don't know what the hell you're talking about. You must be super old. Music went downhill after 2005. Before that it was still good. You're pathetic and dumb. Don't ever compare 90s and early 2000s music to now because the music was good back in the 90s and early 2000s compared to how it is now. Times change, we don't like it, but deal with it.

  • @TheMusicchild89

totally agree music is shit now but the 90's killed it!

  • @dlloveRyy : Hey, dude, what about the 00's, the 10's?

There is still music that makes me shout, makes me cry and forget about space&time and who I am.

Just listen to me, I heard them all, I'm a 59 year old family dad. My grand daughters dance to the most stunning music evvvver, maaan! - Heavenly mouves, yessir!!

Open your ears open your minds and the most heavenly music will touch your heart, brother, I tell you this as I'm standing here, God's Voice haven't left us. It never will!

  • Everyone knows that in the disco era, songs often describe or hint at sex without using the actual words.

    Bell = Clitoris.
