  • I don't mean to be "That guy", but I couldn't let this go...

Death- "I see no dilemma. I will go- through you, if need be..."

    Aeon- "That is my desire."

    o__O What?!

  • @dcwoodard .... Aeon is a bloody genius! What better way to die than to challenge Death to a duel. I should learn from him..

  • @dcwoodard What I think that was meant as is that if Death would "go through" Aeon, the guardian of time, then Death would no doubt be able to defeat the Time Reaper.

Aeon's story almost states directly that he gathered them all hoping someone would prove to be able to defeat the Time Reaper by defeating all the others and Aeon himself.

Aeon's one true goal is to save time from being destroyed by the Time Reaper, even if he needs to put his own safety on the line.

  • *death looks at time reaper

"damn did i really look that ugly several games ago?"

    XD

whats really funny is that i think the only reason death is loyal to dracula is because dracula keeps death in business...

  • @thatotherfilipinoguy I kind of feel like Dracula should serve Death lolz.

  • @thatotherfilipinoguy No, becvause Dracula has the Crimson Stone.

  • "Perhaps there is some greater force at play behind it all..." Yes, yes there is. The love that Dracula and Death share! See? Castlevania is just one big gay love story!

  • so aeon not only looks like an emo, he IS one?

Death: wtf... you look like my former self (or me in any other game)... wait a second, is THIS the reason for me being transformed into an armor thing!?

Reaper: 10 thousand ye (gets interrupted)

Death: fuck this i quit, leave this doppelganger to a belmont, im outta here

    ...

  • "Why would such a being serve Dracula so loyally"

    hint: he's gay for Dracula

  • @DustBloodV2 Serving Lord Dracula would be the greatest of honors, even if it was a sacrifice for his reincarnation

  • @1in3000million So, Death (the most powerful force in the universe) would sacrifice everything for a creature that was once human?

I don't know about you, but I agree with our guy down there: Death is totally gay for Dracula.

  • Time Reaper:the only thing I legitimately hated about this game

  • is this the clocktower level from soul caliber 3 (rhetorical question, but not that far-fetched)

  • I dont see how Death can be the Time Reaper. Death is loyal to Dracula, regardless of enemy or how long he's been dead. He is an embodiment of the end of life. NOT of something that can rip apart meta-physical boundaries.

  • ...

Death is a Necromancer-Type with a ----------SCYTHE-----------. --NOT-- a fucking warrior-type with a fucking Saix Claymore. QQ

  • aeon's desire is for death to go through him

    what a strange desire

  • everyone was returned to their respective eras....

wast everyone dead by the time he defeated the time reaper??? : /

  • @arkraven Sure, he took their souls. But he'll gladly give them back if it'll stop a time paradox from erasing his master.

  • Death is to good for you!

  • ok the time reaper looks VERY similar to Death in Castlevania Curse of Darkness lol and i agree very much that the reaper looks more like death than death himself lol.

  • Death:This is my version in future? What idiot created this crap? Fuck you, there is only one Me, and there will be only one ALWAYS

Time Reaper:Wait, WHAT? Shiiiiit... Anyone, help?

  • @Dukstless i lmfao when i saw this lol

  • Death: Daddy?

    Time Reaper: Next door, jackass.

  • @Warhawk0602 ilove ur comment it is funny

  • LOL AEON disliked

  • Add me!! 3009-6012-5988 Sunbeam. Fight me! If I keep dying, it is because of the wi-fi lagg problems. I really hated it, it made ticked off since it slowed the game and I lost easily!!

  • Solution: Both of them can go through the door at the same time :D

  • @peepeevagi

The door only allows a single being to enter.

    Well, that's what it said.

  • @MasterPrividyenie Exactly. So it's a fifty fifty gamble as to who goes through and who does not if they both go in at the exact same time.

  • lmao @ even your visage mocks me

  • why is he not in his robes? where is his crown at least?! what hell!!!!!?????!!!!!???? this is not death he has armour and twigs !!!m he doesnt even have a long skirt to cover his legs up!!!! or een shadows or something!!!! no legs god they look so stupid

  • @Shawman465 No crown. Only the harvest.

  • @Shawman465 lol i agree in the sims death aka grim reaper always weres a robe and in this game it is like he is fuckin skinny dip in with out da water if any won agrees with me like this commen or reply

  • "Even your visage mocks me. Die!" If I had to guess, the Time Reaper is like a cheap imitation of Death.

  • @HyperDragoonHx

In fact, he's Galamoth's equivalent of Death........ So you're right

  • @SSJProtecter Exactly.

  • @HyperDragoonHx it is because if you have ever played curse of darkness death looks like the time reaper

  • @9001milktoast I know, I have the game, but I only saw that on Youtube. In fact, I'm not even close to fighting Death.

  • Death has NO legs, in every Castlevania... so it's creepy that he has legs in judgement xD

  • @thefirstNightingale in dracula X for SNES death got legs

  • @thefirstNightingale

his second form in Rondo of blood has legs

  • WHAT? NO ONE CAN STOP THE POWER OF THE DOOM PHANTO- oh wait, this isn't Sailor Moon...

  • @GarlandFraser

Barret: Think again old man, as you are either Nexus or against us.

  • -I will go through you, if need be!!

    -that is my desire

    wtf?

  • Death: Ready To Die

    Time Reaper: DEATH I....AM YOUR....SON!!!!!

Death: What Tha Hell *Add Stupid Face here*

    Time Reaper: YES

Death: F***ing Time Reaper I can Reproduce

    Time Reaper: OH MY ERROR

  • Its Jesus alright Jesus want Death to kill Dracula

  • Shouldn't the scene be more like....

Time Reaper: "I come from ten thousand years hence."

    Death: ".... Daddy?..."

  • for those that dont understand why death is drac's slave its becuz he has the crimson stone the owner of that stone becomes deaths master

  • Maybe there is much greater force behind this.......

    WHat's next?? SATAN!??!?!

  • @APLHAKILLER Lords of Shadows...

  • (I didn't have the game)

Does the Time Reaper have any Finishing moves?

  • He has the really big laser beam, the two really big laser beams, and the two really big laser beams with floating homing skulls and added drama. Other than that, not really.

He also has more loss quotes than win quotes, for what that's worth.

  • Death sounds like Zartan from The GI Joe cartoon series.

  • All they did for the Time Reaper was recycle the character model of Death in Curse of Darkness...

  • Dracula manipulates it all from beyond beyond the grave. Deep. I mean, in SoTN, Dracula quotes scripture. If he's so badass that he can read the effing Bible without repercussion, I wouldn't put it past him to have the power to enslave Death himself.

  • Nah, Death only serves Dracula because Dracula is working toward the same goal that Death is. It's probably a matter of Dracula being better at working toward that goal than Death would be. For example, Dracula commands all kinds of monsters, whereas Death does not. Also, Dracula has better control over the hearts and minds of humans than Death does. Humans are more likely to choose evil under Dracula's influence than Death's influence. Everyone fights Death, but many submit to Dracula.

  • ...every single true story ending always includes aeon saying "right on time. you mus tbe the chosen one." and "which leads to our final dilemma... The door will allow only a single being to enter." and death saying "I come from tenthousand years hence." its a little annoying >_>

  • @2chrono Hyena does the same in KoF Maximum Impact. It's quite odd.

  • @2chrono hence the time rift duh

  • Is that time reaper the same boss from Curse of Darkness?

  • Looks similar, but it's not..

  • @DevinHades It even has almost the same skills and powers.

  • @DevinHades It even has almost the same skills and powers.

  • Yup. It's like looking in a mirror.

  • "I will go-THROUGH you, if need be."

    "That is my desire~..."

Anyone see anything a little weird with that?

  • @ph34rONE3443 Ignore "through you, if need be". Better?

  • @DarkAdonisVyers xD It was just a little joke.

  • This is my theory Death is probally ordered to watch Dracula, until a certain time, one that Aeon may not realise; maybe Lucifers behind it, plus this is only one universe of the many posiblities that can occur. The time reaper just alter a critcal event and thus cretes or merges, one universe into another. Dracula may be needed for the final battle against God(?), that is even if there is the concept in the Castlevania universe.

  • death looks weird in this game

  • is death the same guy as the grim reaper?

and if he is death can just touch u and then u die

  • yes it is but in castlevania to die you must be defeated first its not the same concept

  • @smoothcriminaldude Well, considering he can turn his hands into scythes, you DO die.

  • srsly guys wats w/ the talk about galamoth good ol alucard killed him in sotn

  • Oddly enough, Time Reaper looks more like Death then...uhh...Death.

So....whose visage is mocking who again?

  • @SonofAbel the Time Reaper is Death in 10,000... i think... I'm pretty sure!

  • to draw from the classical refrence, Death is one of the 4 horsemen of the apocolypse, typically a demon by his origin(the other three horsemen are War, Famine(starvation) and Pestilence(Plague/disease) as according to research notes).

Death in Castlevania serves Dracula even after his lord is finally defeated, as you fight Death again as Soma Cruz in Castlevania Aria of Sorrow on GBA.

Death is basically a demon, and that said, Dracula is a higher level demon in humanoid form. get it now?

  • If you want to have an easy fight with Aeon run to where the two gears meet (the rotating into each other) and stand there and get into your defensive stance. most of the time Aeon will start the battle by jumping over your head and then falling to his doom.

  • You know, Death isn't really evil. He just serves Dracula as any loyal friend or servant would.

  • @DarkAdonisVyers he is evil considering he is pretty much violating his duty as a reaper and picking favorites with dracula death cannot have favorites or friends it must impartial

  • @GnosisZX DEATH SERVES DRACULA AS HE POSSESS THE CRIMSON STONE. MAYBE LIKE HOW A GEINE IS TO A LAMP, DEATH CAN BE TO THE CRIMSON STONE. CHECK OUT THE ENDING OF CASTLEVANIA LAMENT OF INNOCENCE.

  • @xiondrac9800 I know i own and beat lament several times but the fact he is so loyal to him makes me wonder it also his own will. entities who are controlled are normally not that loyal

  • So, in order to be DEATH, one must not have a LIFE. LOL.

  • @GnosisZX

Yeah, we know death itself is sad, especially if you lose someone, but if we go to spiritual standards, when you die you either go to hell or heaven (or reincarnate in some other faiths), and I don't see how going to heaven as a reward is evil. Yeah, if anything, Death should be neutral, but still serving to some higher power (God) as to send good people to heaven, and evil ones to hell. Though in abrhamic faith, death is evil, still doesn't explain what happens when dying.

  • "Perhaps there is some greater force at play behind it all..."

    IGA, what are you planning?

  • @LookingForTheTop

Perhaps nothing as the Judgement experiment was a fail, and now Kojima has restarted Castlevania, which is a fail as well.

  • Death sounds like a robot.

  • your right but i can kinda see what they were trying to do. they were editing the voice to sound deep and echoey, but they made it a bit too echoey

  • indeed they did.

  • I find it interesting how Death in Curse of Darkness uses a form similar to the Time Reaper. It makes me want to ask questions...

  • LORD GAAAALAAMOOOOOTH!!!! -lol Time Reaper is so funny when he dies xD

  • Too bad you can't fight Galamoth even as a bonus.

  • is every true ending time reaper

  • death is an awesome character

  • Oh, and Dracula's castle needs to appear in Canada.

I mean, come on. Vampire-killing mounties? WHY HASN'T IT HAPPENED?! MAKE US HAPPY, KONAMI!

  • Vampire-killing mounties would RAPE dracula

  • They would burn him to death and piss away his ashes. >_>

  • Yeah, why DOES Death serve Dracula?

  • For all the mofos that say that the Time Reaper is is Death, that is FALSE.

As far as i can see it, Death serves Dracula as Time Reaper serves Galamoth. How could Death become the time reaper? My guess, if Aeon or St. Germain died, but Aeon/St. Germain are as immortal as Death is, Aeon protects time, and St. Germain wanders it. so no fucking way that Death is the Time Reaper.

  • Time Reaper is Death from 10,000 years in the future. There can't be two Deaths.

  • Death's loyalty to Dracula is both binding and undying. Anyways like I said, Death can only govern that which he's the best at, DEATH.

  • Well when Dracula died and came back as Soma, who was Death loyal to? No one.

When Soma dies and comes back as XYZ, then what?

Death will exist on and become the Time Reaper, whilst Dracula's role will be filled by Galamoth, Lord of Space.

  • Yes, but what Ceilia said, The perfect Lord God must be oppossed by the Perfect Lord of Darkness.

Thus, when Galamoth takes over, people will not see him as a lord of darkness.

With the Belmonts gone, Christians and Servants to Dracula alike shall bring him back to defeat the Lord of Space, Galamoth.

You have been able to prove Time Reaper and Galamoth as the Lords of Space and Time, but, Space and Time are nothing if Light and Darkness does not rule over it.

  • You can't bring back Dracula after 1999. Julius wiped him out, body and soul, for good. It was in the prophecy. So Death isn't serving him anymore.

  • @ph34rONE3443 But he does have a reincarnation, that he does not serve. XD

  • @ph34rONE3443

According to the story, Death was faithful to that stupid cult. But wouldn't he know the cult was fake?

  • @ph34rONE3443 hes a time reaper not death

  • time reaper vs grim preaper

  • that is EPIC

  • This Death looks so different if you compare him to Death from Lament of Innocence

    lol :P

  • i just found out he could fly

  • I hope they use the same voice actor for Death in future Castlevania games. His VA in this game is the second best, with the original guy from SoTN being the first. Plus, I'm getting sick of Konami changing Death's voice in every single game that gets released. It's rather sad how they'll stick with Yuri Lowenthal, who makes Alucard sound like a prepubescent boy, and keep forever changing Death's voice. So annoying.

  • THe messenger is Galamoth ...

  • The guy from Kid Dracula?

  • Actually the messenger who sends the Time Reaper was Dracula and the Time Reaper was Death

  • Castlevanias music kicks ass.

  • This game scares me!

    HEY IS FREEEEEEEEEED!!! T.T

  • even your visage mocks me.die!

    death is awsome! =D

  • I think The literal for the Japan translation was

-"Even you face mocks me, unforgivable!"

  • Same thing.

  • This Death kinda reminds me Skeith...and not in a good way.

  • Death:(to Time Reaper) Even your visage mocks me. Die!

Considering that the Time Reaper is a future version of Death, Death might as well be saying this:

Death: (to Time Reaper) Even my visage mocks me. Die!

  • What gets me is Death is pretty much an omnipresent elementof the universe. Everything dies. People, animals, entire races. EVERYTHING. Even the Universe will one day crap out.

But yet it allows itself to be the bitch of one hammy, cliched villain? Kinda like God groveling at the beck and call of some man. Dracula may be powerful, but he is still a living being, and as such would be subject to Death's inevitability.

  • I remembered about Dracula's Crimsom Stone, that grants immortal life and power over death. Well It did both for Dracula. The second literally. Come to think of it, if you see Dracula's cutscene in Judgement, you can see the Crimson stone pulsing on his body.

  • Perhaps. Still sounds pretty lame though.

  • There's a big debate among the fanbase whether it's Dracula or Death who's really pulling the strings between the two of them.

  • must

    steal

    glowing

    stone

  • I agree. He's a god; an immortal who pretty much has the upper hand on the living. Plus, if he decides who lives and who doesn't, how is it that Belmonts destroyed him those many times? I don't know about everyone else, but the Vampire Killer's power is not a valid enough answer for that. Couldn't Death have ended the lives of the Belmont clan if he has the capacity to do so? Dracula could've ended the war a whole lot sooner if that were that case.

  • Death can only claim a Belmont's lives if it's thier time set by God (provided Judgement follows Christian Theology)

  • Given that Death is pretty much fallen and serving Dracula, I don't think he gives a sh*t about God's opinion.

  • I pretty much agree, because If Castlevania follows Christian Theology, Death will be destroyed at the ressurection of the unbelievers (Book of Revelations), that means no matter what, he is destined for eternal destruction, so yeah, he doesn't care hell any about God's opinion.

  • No dude the power of the Crimson Stone that dracula has grants immortal life and power over death. I can look more into it if you want me to if you want it more detailed.

  • Dracula may be able to die. But he is reborn time and time again, so how can Death can have any power over him? I get where you're coming from though.

And if I'm not mistaken, the Castlevania Death is a presence of Castlevania itself(The actual Castle) and doesn't serve Dracula specifically, but whomever is current master of the castle.

  • So Death is the murderous butler with or without a scythe and/or flying, spinning sickles?

  • @ReverendSyn I'm pretty sure this Death isn't one of the Four Horsemen, but just some freakishly powerful undead thing created by Dracula.

  • @pianoguy222 If you've played LoI, Death outdates Dracula.

  • @ReverendSyn Death is different in Castlevania... Death is the grim reaper... he's a thing as well. And Dracula is not "living" per se, he's undead. He's a vampire. An incredibly powerful one at that. If Death is under him, that means that Dracula is more powerful than Death. He probably made Death his bitch by beating him in a fight.

  • @weglarz Play Lament of Innocence. You'll understand.

  • @ReverendSyn Well, the official notes said "friend", not "bitch". That being said, the answer is simple. Dracula provided something that even Death could not obtain otherwise, an eternal companion.

  • @DarkAdonisVyers It's simple. Death serves whoever possesses the crimson stone.

  • @ReverendSyn because wherever dracula goes death is sure to follow. Not meant in a poetic fashion but if Dracula's arrival leads to misery, evil, etc coming to earth in full power, then there would naturally be more death. Conversely when the Belmonts (as a polar opposite) rule death exists but in less amounts because there is less misery. Therefore for Death to gain more power, Dracula must rule

  • @ReverendSyn

    actually dracula is undead

  • @ReverendSyn

Dracula's power is far greater than you know... his powers transcend death itself.

  • @ReverendSyn fuck dude i couldn't have said it any better... that is the only thing i dont like about castlevania..... death being draculas bitch..i mean what the fuck?.... it would have been better if death would still be featured in castlevania games except the reason for his presence would be different..... for example.... he was bored and decided to fuck with some vampire killers

  • @ThaSupaHeroReD Just thought of something. Death feeds off of death right? Dracula want to kill off al humanity right? Death+More Death=Grim Reaper.

  • @ReverendSyn When you put it that way, you're right. But you forget that dracula can pretty much escape from death's grasp. He is slain time and time again, but rises time and time again too.

  • @Felgrand101

    Honestly, this is all confusing.

  • I thought time reaper was the guy who served galamonth from kid dracula

  • Death seems like he'd be a lot of fun to play as.

  • Death looks weird without cloak.

Maybe with cloak he will be too similiar in look to Time Reaper?

  • "If you can't give death to death... what happens if you give it life?"

  • Good one

  • The way Death runs around and how agile he is...reminds me so much of "Jack Skellington" from Nightmare Before Christmas.

  • especially with the skinny ass legs

  • "Why would such a being serve Dracula so loyally?

Perhaps there is some greater force at play behind it all..."

    Yep. Konami.

  • jjajaja

  • if you play castlevania lament of innocence

it said that who wields the crimson stone (which dracula have) will be its master thats why death has always been dracula's servant

  • @PenguinCinema I think Death doesn't really serve Dracula, but more like monitors him....ready to claim him, once he's defeated for good.

It's like in Death Note with Light and Ryuk: "I'll stay with you and 'help' a little, but remember: When you fail, I'll claim your life."

  • @Suthek Makes sense. <3

  • @Suthek No, if you read his SotN description, it says he is Dracula's friend.

  • @Suthek

And character design in Judgement is made by the guy who made DeathNote. Hence that guy looks like L, Simon looks like Light, Grant looks like the female shinigami and Maria looks like Misa. I was expecting for Death to look like Ryuuk.

  • *Dracula gets beaten on last battle*

    - D R A C U L A I S D E A D -

Time Reaper! You can't do that! You'll cause a time paradox!

  • Heh you remind me of Metal Gear.

"Snake! You can't do that! You'll create a time paradox!!"

  • That was what I was imitating. :p

  • Glad to see that Internet Culture is blooming! :D

  • *Dracula gets beaten on last battle*

    -D R A C U L A I S D E A D-

Time Reaper! What have you done! You've created a time Paradox!

  • Time reaper didn't do the double laser thing!

    Wth??!!

    Where you playing on easy?

  • TIME PARADOX!

  • What is the ending talking about? Do you think this means Death is only serving Dracula so loyally because he may be using him? Maybe betray him?

Possible answer in the 1999 game...?

  • Well, if Dracula truly dies in 1999, that would mean Death would have to take him ...

  • ... to DISNEYLAND! YAY!!!!!!!!

    (@TumasMuscat)

  • Am I the only person that thinks Time Reaper is the weakest 1-0n-1 game end boss since Soul Calibur 2's Inferno (Arcade mode version. weapon master version is frikkin insane)?

  • If Galamoth get the hold the the crimson stone, then he not only controls death himself, but able to destroy soma cruz (dracula's incarnation), I believe that the reason the Time repear want to destroy Dracula in the past, cause without Dracula, Soma won't even exist and Galamoth gets Dracula's throne.

  • Soma will exist, if dacula isnt destroyed, soma wont exist ergo if Dracula is destroyed Soma will be born

  • What I don't get is, why can't soma die, and then dracula be reborn?
