@KRANKYGUY , I don't know if you discovered for yourself, but the dancer in this videos is Aleksey Furdak, he is 22 yo and is Latvian. He dances in a dutch dance company named "Samadhi Dance Company" since 2008 and adopted the artistic name of Gaura Nataraj Furdak. There are some other videos of him, search youtube for "furdak" and you may find some. Hope I helped you. Best Regards, Julio

Hey Kevin!

I bought garments when I was in India. But you can order them through internet. These are temple jewelery so they are quite expensive for it is silver covered with pure gold. But you can also order imitation jewelery. The best shops I know are shanthi tailors (you can also order a costume there) and Shukra jewelery. Dhoti you can get in the closest Hare Krishna shop (the longer the better). For performances you can also tie sari like dhoti.

Hi everyone! This is me dancing. Thank you for your kind words :) I studied everywhere where I could grab something. Westerners are in a different situation than Indians who are surrounded by this culture. But I consider that my guru is Pille Roosi (Estonian dancer). All the Bharata Natyam technique and approach to the dance I learnt from her.This particular dance I learnt in India. I am not sure about raaga but I suppose it is Revathi, adi taala.
