  • @Johnnybomb1

Tax for imported vehicles are a bomb here!!

Imagine paying 5.8k USD for a brand new 250R !!

  • @transparent101 in vietnam, my country, you have to pay 10k usd for a 250r!

  • @Johnnybomb1 because we bombed the shit out of japan in WWII ...

thats why america never gets cool jap cars too.. skyline, type R hondas, etc.

  • Man, get you valuves checked !

  • @johnny343nw Its not the valves, its the cam chain. Ive replaced it already

  • @transparent101 Ok, than, Ride safe !

  • @johnny343nw Thanks man!

  • @transparent101 what year is this? I don't care what it takes I'm getting this bike in the US.

  • @jah2mail This is a 97

  • Oh and furthermore. I wonder what hind of hell life the bike had, especially if the engine had to be overhauled at only 20,000 km/s or miles.

I had mine done at 70,000KM and it needed a valve grind, Head plane, thermostat for the fan (hence why it overheated and warped the head/ blew the headgasket), and it needed 2 oil control rings for pistons 2 and 3.

Tis a grand old life owning a highly strung sportsbike lol

  • Don't mind me saying - but something doesn't sound right when it's idling.

Have you checked the camchain tensioners?

  • Thanks for pointing that out. Im a newbie with bikes, this ones my first. The guy i bought it from told me that the engine has been overhauled. Maybe I got ripped off?

  • Yea, I had one exactly the same as yours. The camchain tensioners only existed by name.

The camchain was flapping around so bad it wore a hole in the top it its covered path! No shit -_-

Wouldn't hurt to get it checked, and i'd like to know what the mechanic thinks!

Oh and btw - There are people out there who will say anything to sell something. Better to have it completely looked over by a specialist mechanic as these bikes really do have a high rate of wear with the high revs etc :)
