musics sampled at somthing like 30000 times a second when its recorded and converted into digital waves (square waves) Although the overall wave looks like a sine wave its actually built up of square waves.. and also A = 440HHZ tone.. is inharmonic. It should be A = 432Hz
I've seen everything from regular packing tape being used to like professional sealants. It really depends on your imagination. Of course, the better the sealant (and basically the more expensive) you use, the less leakage you get, but if you're a poor highschool student like me, packing tape works fine.
I'm building one in my spare time and hopefully, it should be done, and fully functional soon... Right now I'm having trouble with propane leaking. :(
it looks really cool if you do it your self but don't put your face over it when you first light it. buddy of myne HAD long hair. he kinda don't any more. the tube shot out about a three foot flame. looked awesome.
Awesome! I think this would be a great way to demonstrate how if 450Hz and 4 fire balls is A, than 3 or 6 fireballs would be be E, and relate the fireballs to a concept useful in music - the perfect fifth.
For more info (though admittedly less dramatic presentation) check out harmonic series on wikipedia.

What's used to seal the ends, so the propane only leaks from the holes?

duct tape, caulk, epoxy, or glue.

@JuliasNL0426 The speaker appears to seal one end, and the tube going to the propane tank seals the other end.

@JuliasNL0426 The speaker and the propane source itself.

The sound wave modulates the gas pressure at periodical points along the tube by setting.
