  • It needs WUBSTEP!

  • Love it!!

  • You look like a crazy professor that has been in your garage in two weeks :)

    But i like it

  • what software should I download, or where can I create those sound frequencies??

  • What was the name of that Dave Brubeck tune?

  • Combining my three loves of Music, Science and FIRE!!!

  • can you play frank zappa thanks

  • Very cool.............thanks!

  • Love the vid, its still being played in physics classes

  • Now this iz what i call a Equalizer

  • if you say it fast it sounds like Rubiks cube

  • how come this isn't in all thu cluubz? :H

  • kind of odd how no one is talking about the illustrated octave nodes and harmonics.

  • musics sampled at somthing like 30000 times a second when its recorded and converted into digital waves (square waves) Although the overall wave looks like a sine wave its actually built up of square waves.. and also A = 440HHZ tone.. is inharmonic. It should be A = 432Hz

  • thats pretty cool :D i didnt know that was possible

  • What's used to seal the ends, so the propane only leaks from the holes?

  • I've seen everything from regular packing tape being used to like professional sealants. It really depends on your imagination. Of course, the better the sealant (and basically the more expensive) you use, the less leakage you get, but if you're a poor highschool student like me, packing tape works fine.

  • duct tape, caulk, epoxy, or glue.

  • @JuliasNL0426 The speaker appears to seal one end, and the tube going to the propane tank seals the other end.

  • @JuliasNL0426 The speaker and the propane source itself.

  • Does anyone know what the first song is?

  • that's awesome, good choice of songs to play

  • I like-a da Foo!

  • I'm building one in my spare time and hopefully, it should be done, and fully functional soon... Right now I'm having trouble with propane leaking. :(

  • i wish we had been able 2 do sumthing that cool and interesting in physics, but my class was full of idiots

  • it looks really cool if you do it your self but don't put your face over it when you first light it. buddy of myne HAD long hair. he kinda don't any more. the tube shot out about a three foot flame. looked awesome.

  • SWEET!!!!! I LOVE PHYSICS!!!!!

  • wow!

  • So how exactly does it work? I wanna make one!

  • cool..

  • cool physics demonstration dude! makes me like science even more :)

  • i dont get the science part but it looks cool

  • The sound wave modulates the gas pressure at periodical points along the tube by setting.

  • Yay, Science!!!

Creative, smart people who can actually build stuff that works are way cooler than stuffy, old physics PHDS!

  • What, you mean ENGINEERS?

  • its like equalizer.. awesome..

  • awesome to the max

  • wat a trip man, I never saw one of those, pretty kewl, peace man.

  • sure beats the "levels" display on iTunes, nice work

  • set up a huge version of this at a rock concert

    that would be crazy!

  • Awesome! I think this would be a great way to demonstrate how if 450Hz and 4 fire balls is A, than 3 or 6 fireballs would be be E, and relate the fireballs to a concept useful in music - the perfect fifth.

For more info (though admittedly less dramatic presentation) check out harmonic series on wikipedia.

  • Very cool, It reminds me of when my father used to hook up his scope to speaker wires when I was young.

  • I'll take mine well done! 5 stars.

  • Hey Bulon,

Thanks for posting, this is super cool.

  • Amazing! Awsome presentation :D

  • finally someone has combined my two favourite things, music and fire

  • that was absolutely amazing its great that the whole sound look in a win amp player actually has a fire to thank origin lol

  • this remembers me the winamp programm ahah:-D man its very genious :-) 5 stars amigo

    TIno

  • This is VERY cool. Thank you for showing us. AnnSpade sent me to you.
