I had a fun time playing Snake. I changed the resolution to 720p when you guys were talking about it, and as it buffered I was able to play xD. Apparently, you can still play as the video plays but only until you die.

i found Okamiden okay, never as good as it's predecessor, but the story was defianately enticing.

The bosses were harder than okami but other than that it was about the same. Although Akuro at the end was a bitch. Especially Kuroterasu. The graphics sucked and were too angular ;-; it lost the beauty of okami.

But other than that it was okay i guess.

Is Yuzo saying that Japanese games generally have bad writings and immature characters? I'm sure there are lots of games with bad dialogs and unrealistic characters in western games too. So why would he say as if only Japanese games have that kind of quirks? I can understand if he is referring to the current Japanese market though. Or maybe he was just saying that most of English translations are bad.

@nnecron I was mainly referring to the general market. Many Japanese games (esp. RPG's) are pretty formulaic with a young protaginist, female friend, "cool" older companion, etc. Of course there are quite a few original stories and instances of great writing, but sadly they tend to be outnumbered by the sheer number of mediocre cookie cutter games that the japanese game industry produces.

I have a little suggestion (that has probably been made before, but) I was wondering if perhaps you guys could put annotations/links to the previous/next episodes in your videos? You know, so that if the viewer wants to see several in a row, they will easily find the next one to watch. I'm not suggesting that you do this to ALL of your older vids (considering there are over 200 of them) but I thought it would be a cool thing to do in the future.

Yeah, something like that. Perhaps a small box in the bottom left corner (link to previous episode) and a small box in the bottom right corner (link to next episode). If you were to do this with episode 220 (for example) then the links would be called "219" and "221" respectively.

I've seen several "Let's Players" do this, and I think it's very convenient. Naturally, if I'm the only guy here that likes this idea, then you don't need to bother with it. I'm not some DICKtator.

So I went back and played a bit of Yakuza 3 the other day having beaten 4. Is it me, or does Kazuma seem an even bigger Bad Ass in his fights in 4 than he is in 3?

In 3 the fights against the everyday mooks could be challenging if you let your guard down, in 4, Kazuma just seems to run through all the non-boss opposition as if they were preschoolers.

@tobin00 The second character took me a while to get used to his fighting style, but I thought him an absolute monster when I got the hang of it. Of the three new guys, I liked the cop's fighting style the most, it seemed the most varied and interesting.
