You know there is an easier way than to put the net in your mouth. If you keep on roll the net up like the pull line you can get a much small setup to throw like a 3 foot radius net. You you have to put spin on the net like tossing a disc. Much easier and less nasty tasting the net. This method will work with a pretty large net depend how much you can grip the bundle.

I like your technique of throwing the net. I use the Gill Net for catching Jack Smelt in the Ocean.

That's the only the second castnet I have ever seen int the US. I was in Florida many years ago and saw a guy catching sting rays on the beach. The funny thing was he got one & then realized he didn't know how to get it out of the net with being stung XD.
